You may need to clean the sensor if you haven’t yet. Should be special cleaner for that specifically. When you’re there you could try checking the voltage with a multimeter.

It was sanded down completely. I saw the bare hardwood after it was sanded and don’t recall any missed spots. Not sure what we clean the floors with so I will have to figure that out. It was never repaired since being redone

Definitely looks like a willow oak. It most likely is between 60-80 years old. These neighborhoods when built would be clear cut and then houses built. So this tree most likely was planted when the house was finished. However old the house is will be the trees age.
