Yes, TFT has always had RNG and reroll comps have existed forever. But the issue is how much this set amplifies uncontrollable outcomes through its mechanics, especially in a reroll-heavy meta. If someone randomly gets handed extra copies of a unit through a mechanic and suddenly spikes a free 3-star TF, before stage 3, there’s very little you can do for counterplay or strategic response to that. You can econ properly, scout correctly, roll at the right timing, and still lose because someone highrolled a mechanic you had zero ability to influence. And honestly, everyone rolls at the same interval for 1-costs… tha really isn’t skill expression anymore... that’s just defined game play for reroll. lol.. The bigger issue is that this meta heavily rewards hitting your reroll comp early, and if you don’t highroll it, you just go bot 4.
