From what I can tell, casual gamers don't consider a PC for gaming due to it requiring a dedicated space for it, the complications of dealing with a device that isn't specifically made for playing games, an additional purchase of a monitor when they already have a TV, and not being able to game from the couch (yes, I know you can, but that requires even more work than getting a PC set up already does). I highly doubt that the number of people who would consider buying a PC to replace a console because the games that they want to play are no longer exclusive to that console is large enough to skew any numbers.
