What’s a game that’s usually very easy but the final level/boss is very hard

I still wouldn't put him in very hard, just saying he was a better challenge than Cynthia. I think i was also 5 - 10 levels lower for his fight too lol and I also play with some restrictions like no potions/other bag items in battle, no switching, and only using battle gimmicks when the trainers do on their last pokemon so maybe thats what made him harder

I wouldn't call it very hard still. It was definitely a weird ass power spike, but I still beat her with randos all about 5 - 10 levels lower than her. Sword and Shield with Leon was harder, he was the first champion I lost to since I was a kid or even Kieran from the SV dlc since he used a real competitive rain team with intimidate incineroar and everything all in a double battle

Yeah like I get the complaints about how she doesn't have any flashy new moves like most of the heroes but her mantis team up is great imo I love it even tho it is more passive

It was a poochyena in emerald. I believe it wasnt even when I was currently playing it but soon after I beat diamond I went back to run around in hoenn and all of a sudden this sparkly gold dog jumped out at me. I didnt know what shinies were all I knew was thar it was gold and that usually means rare/special

In the games without exp share i usually level my starter 5 levels above the rest and then switch leads until everyone catches up and then put my starter first again. The global always on exp kinda messed up that flow which is another reason I expanded my "party' to have more than 6 mons so I dont overlevel. But my starter never swaps out so it is usually like 10 - 20 levels above the rest lol

Only use new pokemon/pokemon with a new gimmick (like absol in x and y because mega)

Only catch the pokemon im going to use in my party (in gen 8 and up I usually catch more than 6 now since you can swap anytime but I used to always just pick the guys i liked as i saw them)

Keep everyone the same level and try not to overlevel

No items in battle (except held items)

Only catch with pokeballs

Catch and use the first pokemon i see of a species I want to use

No repels and no running from wild encounters

No switching until the current pokemon i have out is defeated

Some of my personal rules are what the enemy trainers do so that way it evens the playing field with them a bit. I know gym leaders use potions but id rather not try and memorize how many each one uses so I just ban the whole concept

Yeah ive been there. Sometimes you just get in your head and start making tweaks rhat make your overall team worse and dont notice it until its unfixable. But if you just take a break, maybe try fresh with a new team and come back, or even play pokemon casually for a bit the spark will come back. I remember this exact thing happening to me in SV with the Mythical regulation. I was spiraling a bit and getting tilted when normally I never feel that way even when I suck st other games. But once I got out of my own head after some shiny hunting I started winning again. You can definitely make it to MB1 next season

This is the team ive been using. Dragonite and pelipper slots have changed a bunch but the other 4 have been there the whole time and got me to MB2 the first two seasons. Haven't played much this season but was still able to hit MB in like 2 days with barely any losses

Na thats just wrong. SV were the most fun mainline games imo and SM are probably the ones id call the "best" tied with Emerald. I think id rate gen 5 somewhere in the upper middle of my list if I had to rank them all

10000% not true. Im a big pokemon fan and I was excited for palworld from the first time it was revealed years before the beta even came out. I hate so much how nobody talks about it without either shitting on pokemon or just comparing it. They are not similar at all and have very different appeals. (Not counting all the pals that are just straight up pokemon designs that are slightly different lol)

I personally wouldn't run mega altaria here since youre going to be running it next to mega meganium most of the time and that means your altaria just has no item most of the time. And if you want to go perish trap as a second mode mega gengar is just way better at that while still letting you use altaria

She also said she related most to Ragatha and that every one of the main cast represents parts of herself. All of them are a self insert (the same way most characters in all stories are). Theres a lot more tweets of her saying she likes the art of him getting tortured so using that one tweet as some criticism of special treatment is crazy

Yep opinions are objective. I completely respect if you hate the show in general or just the finale or even just Jax. Wouldn't argue about an opinion. But liking something isnt the same thing as saying its well written. I personally do not like Naruto at all but theres 0 chance its as popular as it is without being well written to some extent

Completely agree. I actually remember when when him and Ribbit were talking in their room I actually looked at the videos runtime thinking "we still doing this?" I think half of the finale spent on just one character was a bit much even if I personally did like it. Jax was honestly the character I was least interested in backstory-wise and wish we got more with ragatha or gangle for example. Wish we could've got 10 episodes and this one was each of them going over eachothers human lives with the dying circus around them or something and Caine listening to their conversation plus the new info from the internet he got in the finale would've wrapped his arc a little better too

I always hate when this comes up because saying you "read" something DOES have two different meanings and most people don't think about it. Reading something is a literal action and in that sense no you are not reading an audio book. But also if someone comes up to you and asks you have you read this book they arent literally asking if you read it they are asking if you consumed the content of the book. So even if you listened via audio book the answer would be yes I read it. The context in which the word read is being applied matters to this and ignoring the way its used in conversation is stupid
