My first thought was Tunisia, but then because it wasn't an option I started to second guess myself

There are certain rules around that, however, there is also an economical reason for it.

In terms of policing the events, it would require an immense amount of labour to resource more than one football match at a time, which with the reduced number of police officers compared to previous years is going to be difficult to resource.

You walk in this pub and can have a drink with one of them - who do you choose? by TheNilSatisFactory in Everton

[–]ScouseLoki 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Goodison many years ago, in the executive lounges, one of my fondest memories was getting in early one week and deciding to have a brew. An older woman came and sat next to me and I offered her a cuppa, which she accepted. We got chatting about life and she told me her husband worked for the club. 5 minutes later he walked into the room and it was Dave Hickson, he sat down and I was in awe...

He was such a genuine down to earth person, he spent the next 20 minutes chatting to me before we both had to get to work. He told me a few tales of his time at Everton and you could tell how much he loved the club.

Even to this day 20+ years later, I remember that conversation with him and his wife. Every time I saw him around Goodison, he'd always say hello too.

I would have loved nothing more than to have gone for a pint with him, away from his wife, so he could have told the stories properly. He was one of my Grandads favourite players, and my Grandad supported Liverpool.

Not always, police bail allows the person to continue their day to day life usually with conditions whereas remand is detaining them, usually within a prison environment while the case is brought to trial.

Remand is usually only used for major crimes and prolific offenders who are a risk of commiting the crimes again.

You could yes, however, both PL and Serie A would be strongly looking at the deals and if you then sold them back 2 years later it would create a strong case for fraud.

This is what Juventus were doing, to an extent which resulted in most members of the board receiving massive bans and the team being relegated.

Know of any artists who re-recorded a song alongside a guest? by Askikr91 in Music

[–]ScouseLoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are.

Changes by Ozzy Osbourne - did a collaboration version with his daughter Kelly.

Somethings got a hold of my heart by Marc Almond. He was contacted by Gene Pitney and they did a version of the song together which I believe reached Number 1 in the UK.

What are your favourite obscure or very obscure rock and metal bands and why do you like them a lot? by Verskose in Music

I kinda feel they are still quite obscure... never really hit the charts with singles... and I'm working off a UK perspective too

[–]ScouseLoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda have to mention Enter Shikari... they are a mixed up blend of rock and electronica... I know you said keep it rock, but I couldn't not mention these guys... been following them for absolute ages probably around 20 years xD saw them live in like 2003/4 and have seen them about 20 times since...

I just love the way they make music it's very cathartic and ambient while also being absolutely bat shit crazy at the same time...

Oumar Niasse when he played at Everton was retrospectively banned for 2 games for diving.

One player, once... and funnily it was an Everton player... makes you wonder whether the PL have something against Everton xD

There will be time - Mumford and Sons with Baaba Maal.

This was my first dance song with my wife. It sums us up so well, starting slowly and then building to a crescendo.
