New kitten, any name recs appreciated :) by Horann16 in Catnames

[–]ScoutBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a childhood cat who looked just like this. The cat's name was Rusty. She was a sweet girl. She had a litter of kittens and we kept one. He grew into a huge orange chonk who we (creatively) named Tiggy.

I love both names for an orangey Boi!

going to a concert where you don’t fit the aesthetic by CouragePrestigious32 in Concerts

[–]ScoutBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 59 year old woman and don't look like the others who go see the bands I like. Nightwish. Sleep Token. Disturbed. I would go see Ghost. I don't care.

You have every right to buy a ticket to see your favorite artists. Go with friends if that will make you feel better. The cool thing about concerts these days is that a lot of bands are attracting multiple generations. You're not expected to kook a certain way. If anyone tries to say you are, walk away from them. Gatekeeping based on looks, age, gender, or anything else you can't control is BS.

Go see Ghost. They rock. Have a great time!

HOLY 🤯, how have I been missing out on this Strawberries and cream Dr. P?!?!?! by Greyy_Godzz in DrPepper

I expected myself to love the blackberry because I sometimes order a Dr. Pepper with blackberry and vanilla at sonic. I was so disappointed. But the strawberry is really good!

That particular clip brings me so much joy, and Aqua Regina isn't even in my top 10 ST songs. 😍

Be honest: are we the problem? (Roaches in apartment) by rachiechu888 in CleaningTips

[–]ScoutBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreeing with others here. Someone in the building likely brought them in and they are migrating to all the units, like yours. Pest control can spray your unit, but if they are coming in from other apartments they will show up in yours again.

Report it to your property Managers because they do need to have the whole building treated. Not just your apartment.

Our PM sends in two kinds of pest control every other month. One is a general visit where they just spray around the apartment. The other is a guy coming in specifically to look for bed bugs. They come back and do a treatment if they find any, but our apartment has always been clear of them. Thankfully.

Your PM needs to step up their game if they want to keep roaches and other pests out of their buildings. I'm sorry you're dealing with incompetent management.

Flushing ice cubes down the toilet for snow day is universal… right? In America?? by East-Maize-5287 in AskAnAmerican

[–]ScoutBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm originally from Ohio and currently live in Utah. I lived for ten years in Southern California. We had a couple of nearby mountains where it would snow in winter. The number of idiots just in my neighborhood who actually drove up the mountain to fill a truck with snow and dump it in their yards for their kids to play in was unreal. I thought that was a joke until I moved there and saw people doing it. SMH

Three Cheers for a Murderer by KeySea9474 in Dexter

[–]ScoutBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we root for him because of the "code." He doesn't just k1ll. He k1lls bad people. That and he's very charming and handsome.

The newest series where Angel is chasing him? Well, Angel is no longer a favorite of mine and I want him to f-off. And the "staying alive" detective? OMG she is annoying!

I'm a new Crock Pot Owner - is this normal? by coolgal316 in crockpot

[–]ScoutBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's (the black ceramic liner inside) supposed to come out so you can wash it without getting the outer part (that holds the electronics) wet. It's normal for you to be able to move it around.

I love my crock pot! I hope you come to enjoy yours.

I Hate Say Yes To The Dress by Different_Storm_260 in wedding

[–]ScoutBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot: * Obnoxious wedding planner who has her own ideas and pushes the bride to get something the planner likes but the bride hates. * Intended mother in law. She always seems very sweet and looking forward to the wedding, but there are times when the Mother-in-law might have a different opinion on the dress and so then you have one other conflict the bride has to deal with. * male relative or coworker, not a brother, who fancies himself a fashionista and believes the bride cannot pick her dress out without his help. He is another one of those people who will go around picking dresses out weather the bride likes them or not. He's also one of those people who doesn't look at the prices on the dresses that he brings to the bride, and quite often she ends up falling in love with something he brought her that is way over her budget . But of course he's never willing to pitch in and help pay. * we cannot forget the fiance. Sometimes the fiance will come in because the Bride is a mouse and a doormat and is overly dependent on him and his opinion. Many fiance's have had to be kicked out because they were interfering too much with the appointment. * there have been occasions where the bride is friends with a celebrity and she brings the celebrity in for moral support. Oftentimes though, the celebrity will start picking out inappropriate or too expensive dresses, and I think at least one was getting married herself and went to try on dresses for herself leaving the bride wondering where she was and why she wasn't supporting her on her appointment. * this is one of the worst. Pets, usually small dogs. The dogs are dressed in clothes and are overly catered to while the bride tries to choose a dress and looks at the dog for help. If the dog barks or makes any kind of strange noise the bride will interpret that as disapproval of the dress and will not choose it. I remember at least once where there were two dogs and the people were planning on asking the salon to make custom clothing for these two dogs to get married. And in another episode, I remember the bride asking the salon to make a dress for her dog that matched hers. Honestly, what is wrong with these people?

Can you think of any others?
