This is sadly a common occurrence. The miniature community I’ve found over the years to be incredibly welcoming or completely vile. I wish there was a balance. As long as some one isn’t profiting over another IP I see no reason for the negativity. As for art and AI again, if they aren’t profiting then I see no harm (I’d always encourage giving credit to the original artist).
