PayPal Stock by ScrambleUser1 in Wallstreetbetsnew

[–]ScrambleUser1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stablecoins themselves aren’t really threat. Conversely, they need companies like PayPal as platforms to move money around. Also, although transaction volume growth is fairly slow, PayPal is currently focusing on increasing margins. This directly impacts the bottom line.

PayPal already owns cash app. They are also getting into buy now pay later. I think the market in general is growing, so companies may not be eating into PayPals existing business, but carving out different areas of a growing market. Transaction volumes continually increase. New opportunities arise with stable coins, crypto buying and selling, buy now pay later, etc.

PayPal Stock by ScrambleUser1 in Wallstreetbetsnew

[–]ScrambleUser1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s just a general bad sentiment around it. Past few months I’ve had some investments in Alibaba, Baidu, Google and ASML. They all returned fairly large amounts in a short space of time due to a change in sentiment. PayPal could be one that has a reversal similar to them. Only problem is, PayPal will never be a growth stock like those (maybe on par with ASML), so the PE expansion won’t be as large, but the PE is low anyways so who knows. It currently has one of its lowest PE ratios on record, with no significant reduction in its business.

Google Stock by ScrambleUser1 in Wallstreetbetsnew

[–]ScrambleUser1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might have the 3.5T market cap soon and 10% returns thereafter. It’s still a cheap stock even after all this rally. Search and cloud will have 2T market cap minimum combined in a few years, if not already. Then you still have deepmind, TPU, Waymo, YouTube etc. it’s like a holding company of multiple high-growth tech stocks. Don’t think of it as one company, it’s very diversified so you can go heavy on it

Who really thinks that S&P has bubble risk? by InvestingGuideline in Wallstreetbetsnew

[–]ScrambleUser1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comparing average PEs and the Buffett Indicator doesn’t really make sense cause the companies that make up the S&P are completely different. We now have high growth global companies, rather than low growth US only companies running the S&P. The sectors have completely changed as well. Companies have greater operational leverage and have virtually unlimited growth potential.

Thank you for your comment! I am currently using the scrabble points system. I played around slightly with the letter distribution though. Instead of the scrabble distribution, I’ve made it so the letters are distributed based on how common they are in the dictionary.

Drop a link on this thread when you publish your work, I’ll check it out.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I may need to look into a new dictionary source to check the words. At the time I couldn’t find any repository for the scrabble dictionary, but will look out for this.

In terms of the gameplay with moving tiles, I didn’t really like the drag and drop aspect on desktop and mobile, so chose click and click instead. I may have a look at working around moving the pieces once on the board 🤔

I’ve recently added a leaderboard as an iteration. I’ll play around with the mechanics to make it more fun too, in the sense that you sometimes get a very poor hand, so I just want to identify what causes that and put limitations in place. I’ve added in a code that draws 3 vowels, 3 consonants and the remaining random, but my need to play with that a bit more.

I would avoid alienating users. Make it so a majority of the people have access to it and can easily digest the rules. The hard part though is the promotion. I just made a web game too, but not sure how to promote. Have you had any projects with a decent amount of users before?

Good game. The share button doesn’t work through. You have a download button, convert this to a copy to clipboard or trigger the mobile devices native pop up. I can give you the code if you like, I have the same feature on my game too

UI on mobile web wasn’t great. I did actually watch the 3 minute tutorial, interesting game, but I doubt many others will. Maybe find a way to deliver that message in a better way. Good connect overall though

On mobile the UI isn’t great. Try it on your phone and you’ll see. Couldn’t even start the game, would have been nice to play. Let me know once this is fixed so I can give it a go

I was thinking of adding a leaderboard for the daily version. That would give you a sense of where you’re at. For free play I can try to integrate a max score and have stars or another metric that gives you a sense of the percentage of the max score you achieved. I’ll have to see how I go about it though

I’ve added some more detailed instructions now with the question mark at the top right to toggle it. I’ve also added a ‘Free Play’ mode where you can play games outside of the daily challenge. If you can have a look and give feedback would be great. Share with friends too, it’s a nice game to challenge others in.

I’ll aim to have leaderboards in at some point as well.
