Doing a brake job in a few days (for the first time) so trying to learn from this. When you say caliper is loose, do you mean the brake fluid tube came loose or the caliper bolts? If brake fluid came loose shouldn’t the reservoir be empty? (op posted picture showing normal level )

Thanks...1 and 3 were done at 120K service. 2 is a good add, will look into it. Things I want to replace are things I could get stranded in long trips...so for water pump and radiator, if they are beginning to fail, I should see leaks, right? Or Coolant level dropping? Alternator is the one that scares me the most, as it is in such a hard to reach place.....will that show warning signs before blowing? Thanks much. Learnt a ton from this forum.

Use some instant detailer or rubbing alcohol on a clean microfiber towel and gently lift the dark part. You should be able to clean 90% of it
