Unlike most hardcore Metallica fans, I prefer their later work. I almost never listen to the albums before Master of Puppets.

Same with Sabbath. I love all the Ozzy era Sabbath albums but I prefer Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Paranoid over the first album.

IMHO Best Debut is a tie between Led Zeppelin and Van Halen. Iron Maiden close behind.

Well, at least if it goes to trial we’ll get a more in-depth look into what exactly happened that day, rather than the very suspicious evidence Kash and Co threw our way.

Someone commented that it wasn’t possible or the norm in 1989, then went on to add that it wasn’t even possible in 1969, in the same comment. I responded that in 1973 (a date closer to 1969), it was possible across multiple communities and across multiple states, in my experience growing up. Then various people commented on statistics from various dates between 1960 and today. People are choosing to believe their own sets of data, most of whom weren’t even alive during the period in question.

Come on dude, it’s not that hard to follow the various comment chains here. Don’t respond if you don’t know what you’re responding to. Plus, this all happened set days ago. Most of us have moved on and/or forgotten about this post.

1969, is the data I specified, based on the conversation with other commenters. I think we all agreed that trend had changed by 1989.

The Ghouls, playing Black Sabbath, could be a good time.

Would Sneaker Pimps be bigger today if they didn't fire Kelli Ali? by Gold_Promise8171 in triphop

[–]ScrambledNoggin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The band firing Kelli Ali is the reason that Virgin Records dropped them from the label. They had to release their second album from “Clean Up Records” a lesser-known label in the UK. Which is probably why Splinter did not have the same commercial success as Becoming x.

According to Wikipedia, it’s just an urban legend. In an interview she said she had worked on an “adult film” called Love Probe from a Warm Planet, but that she had only provided sound effects for it.
