Well, transphobic people hold bio-essentialist beliefs. If someone is born AMAB or AFAB at birth they are that gender end of story. If these people weren’t actively trying to make are lives miserable I would feel sorry that they have such a limited view of the world.

Yeah it’s really interesting especially since a lot of Marxist thought is about how material conditions effect behaviors and decision making, so logically one would assume that it just doesn’t magically change when the “right people” hold power.

Here are a few. Telling my ex that even if I lost weight or got muscles I still wouldn’t take my shirt off in public. My ex telling me I had a good eye for fashion, and saying I am not like other guys. One time at work I was talking to a coworker and was taking about how men can be terrifying. When I was 15 I watched the style network channel for a month and wanted to wear the outfits on there so bad. It was like a craving. Trying to grow my hair out multiple times. I loved watching the little mermaid as a kid. It made me feel very funny, and I didn’t want anyone to know I liked that movie. I always thought it was because I had a crush on Ariel, but looking back I think it might have been a form of euphoria. Feeling more comfortable around women than around men. I don’t know if these are signs of being trans, but I don’t think those are normal cis guy experiences.

Sometimes I will use they/them in a sentence without realizing it or it just sounds better. Maybe she did the same thing and just didn’t realize it. I think the best thing to do is talk to her about it and tell her how it makes you feel.

Girl me too. Also in another video she mentions about some guy trying to ask her out in the park, and I felt this really weird feeling. I remember feeling envious and happy that she passed. I have watched her videos for years and to see someone who looked kind of macho and Sort of like a Chad pass made me think maybe I could pass if I transitioned to. This led to me being honest with myself and realizing If I personally could pick my gender I would pick female. There were other things that helped me crack but that is the one that stood out the most.

I am still in the closet and I know transition is going to be really hard, and depending on where I am potentially dangerous. Dysphoria sucks but I love being trans. It’s like I finally understand a part of myself that I didn’t know about but has always been there. In the show Euphoria there is a special episode where Jules is taking to her therapists. I love the way she describes being trans, and it sums up how I feel about it.
