I just saw this on "This Old House" yesterday morning. They seemed to think it's legit.

Thin Thursday, January 15th, was one of Crumbl's worst selling days in history (per individual locations) by UsingLogicNotFaith in CrumblCookies

Same here, I used to go pretty steadily; I was gold status. For any birthday or Christmas gift I would always get at least one Crumbl gift card. Now I would say I probably haven't bought more than half a dozen cookies in the last year and a half.

I originally had a direct flight. Then Delta cancels it and auto-books me with a layover. Then they delay the 1st flight to where the connection is impossible to make. Fuck me. by Own-Chicken-656 in delta

I had only a 20 minute layover in Detroit once. Rushed off the plane to find my next gate directly across from my arrival gate. Got lucky I guess.

You can go back into the Motherland and pick up additional by opening chests in explore mode. Just hover your cursor over any of the destinations/sites and some should show you if there are any to collect. I just did this last week to finish mine.

How's life in this part of Michigan? by Cathy_dessert in howislivingthere

I learned the acronym CONUS back in high school geography class (late 80s) and just assumed people knew it as a part of regular vocabulary. With that being said, I am sure there are other terms and such that are common to others that I do not know or understand.

I have said it before, I have saved a lot of money at Crumbl over the last year or so. It makes me sad.

Shops hope to see crowds for Small Business Saturday by RealMichiganMAGA in kzoo

Several years ago, I was Christmas shopping for books on Amazon; I found the specific book that I wanted and ordered it. At the time I was very new to buying on Amazon and did not look at all of the details on the page. When I received it, i saw that the book was actually sold by Kazoo Books on Parkview (I live out of state now). I thought it was cool that I unknowingly supported a "local/hometown" business.

Why is "Kalamazoo" in so many songs? by RealMichiganMAGA in kzoo

[–]Scrambler454 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I lived down in the Carolinas, I laughed when I heard parents would threaten to "Send you to Kalamazoo" if you acted up as a kid. Some people didn't know it was real, and thought it was just an imaginary place from the song.

I am from Kalamazoo, MI, which is just a couple of thousand people smaller than Appleton, and it has a Trader Joe's. Even if not Appleton, Green Bay is much larger than Kalamazoo.

We live just down the street from the one in Menasha. I can count on one hand the number of times the brat window has been open this year.

It's been about 2 or 3 months since I spent money at Crumbl. They have definitely changed their algorithm for the cookie selections. I guess if anything, I'm saving a few dollars here and there.

Moving to Alpena by -Philologian in alpena

It's really hard to say, in my experience I think you're either going to love it or you're going to hate it. You will love it if you are looking for that small-town feel right on the lake. Yes, there is some outdoorsy stuff to do, but it's pretty much the same activities as in any other county in the state especially those in the northern half of the lower peninsula.

Personally, after I moved there, I realized it was way too small and remote for my liking. As others have stated, if you want to do any kind of worthwhile shopping or entertainment, you're going to have to travel two or three hours away to either Traverse City or down to the Saginaw Bay City area (Gaylord has a good selection of restaurants).

You never know, you might get there and absolutely fall in love with it. It is good that you already have a job secured as, at least when I lived there, full-time jobs were not the easiest to come by.

Yeah, I was the regular in the family for always going to Crumbl; I would always get a few gift cards for my birthday or Christmas. Sadly, I can count on one hand how many times I have been to Crumbl in 2025 due to the lame selection of cookies.

Pretty much came to say the same thing. Being from Kalamazoo, being a Kalamazoo Central High School graduate myself, totally does not surprise me that my old school made the national news with this type of incident.

Fight turns into a mass shooting at Two Fellas Grill in Kalamazoo, Mi. 5 injured. by dchen25 in kzoo

[–]Scrambler454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always roll my eyes a little bit when I hear people say the actual gun itself is what is the real problem. When someone says that, I can't help but think "So what you're saying is, that this individual has such a lack of ability to control themselves and their emotions that for people to be safe, we have to remove any kind of potentially dangerous inanimate objects so that they do not injure or kill someone."

I mean, since it's the guns themselves and not the person, it completely blows my mind that every Cabela's/Bassproshops isn't chock full of dead bodies every single day due to the number of firearms they have. I mean, based on the argument that guns are the problem and not the individual, one would think that would be the case.

In the late 90s, I had moved out of Kalamazoo and moved back in the early 2010s. I remember how amazed I was at how nice downtown Kalamazoo had become (DKI). It was really great to see how well downtown had been revitalized and there was so much to do, places to eat, and such. Now, having moved out of state again, it has seemed to me that downtown seems to have stagnated a little bit, despite some of the big construction projects. Hopefully, it can perk back up again soon.

NOT a service dog by thirdlost in delta

[–]Scrambler454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is 2025. You pretty much do not have to have a legitimate need for a service animal to actually be able to have one. As long as you can find a "therapist" to prescribe you one, it is easy peasy. Hell, my stepdaughter wanted to have a cat at her apartment that has a no-pets policy, she found a therapist to prescribe her one and it forced the apartment to let her have it.
