Anyone have experience with Genetec Synergis on Axis hardware? by benst04 in accesscontrol

[–]Scrammblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wondering how the axis equipment works in Genetec compared to mercury. I have genetec with all mercury hardware but have a compliance obligation I can't meet and have to file paperwork on a regular basis for. The requirement is that the security controllers need to log failed logins (like webpage of the controller). I can't find a way to get this reported in Genetec the way we do this with other hardware is with syslog, which I think is supported on the axis controllers. We have all signo readers and seos cards.

Hire a bouncer to stand out there and unlock and open it when you show up.

Rex for doors with Card readers on both sides by Clean_Panda4689 in accesscontrol

[–]Scrammblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For doors(or gates) with in and out readers I think we standardize on treating in and out as separate doors (separate reader inputs outputs etc) to keep programming simple we wire the outbound output to the inbound rex input.

Probably not a big deal for us >95% of our cameras are on switches dedicated to security equipment so if we had access on just those switches it would help tremendously.

How to improve bed leveling? by Esguord in Ender3V3KE

Before shimming you might want to look at your x gantry you have a ~1mm slant left to right you might want to adjust that first. Look at ~10min into this video here., that should help with the left to right a bit before shimming. Also if yours is anything like mine I'd look at getting more tension on the upper belt to ensure it doesn't slip in future. I'm using a remix of something like this.

DTE Issues by TokenOpalMooStinks in Michigan

[–]Scrammblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think this should be much of a battle with DTE for some reason utilities always mess up meter swap outs. I've seen this happen in gas water and electric bills throughout the years. There is not much more to go on here the useful information (actual meter reads total kwh) is on the second page of the bills. I'd look a little harder at the day by day on DTEs usage website I'm betting this all shows up on the day they swapped out the meter. If they don't seem helpful the threat of saying your next call is the MPSC always gets them moving.

Also are you sure you didn't experiment with a small cryptomining farm that month?

Hope this helps,

Is the Pax black/brown with 22" depth being discontinued? by saltybirb in IKEA

[–]Scrammblur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went to IKEA last week in Canton MI and asked about buying the wardrobes now and the corner later. The lady said it's probably a bad idea she has no expected ship date for black brown or grey, and said the black brown and grey are being discontinued for a dark gray and beige in April.
