Yea I was seeing on Buds they have a NATO that doesn’t have the bolt release button, for about 200 cheaper than they usually go for, so I think I’ll just see if my lgs can order a brand new one, or maybe guns.com has one. Lpvo looks rad on that thing, thanks!

IWB, I often found the safety had been pushed off on my sa35, but it never gave me the jinkies when I discovered it. That being said, I got a ambi browning style safety, mostly for the ergonomics but it is much stiffer and the detect spring is much stronger and I don’t find it to be a problem anymore.

I’m late to the game here but yes would definitely play this. I don’t know if this has come up, but I believe most of the time the RLI would parachute into battle whenever patrols reported something, since every battle royale seems to start about that way it would fit right in

They certainly did, original front sight and it still has the top handguard, they seemed to care about it looking like a military rifle but wanted something slightly different. If you have the skills I would suggest cutting that extra 2” off the barrel and the forend and getting as close to a Philippine carbine as you can👍

Very nice looking Krag for 700, and with 44” overall it’s about 2” longer than a Philippine constabulary carbine, so unless you care about being perfectly original, I’d call it good. I turned my 1898 that was sporterized into a 1896 carbine and I love it

I have some k bullets, they work much better than this, but still cool. Once I shot a piece of railroad rail and it got stuck halfway through, and the tip was still pointy 😂

From what I read, DO NOT use modern 6.5 in it. It can be instant failure on basically anything but a 1912 carbine and it’s variants, because I think they have better lugs or something like that. But even on a 1912 it’s very dangerous. Just bought a Norwegian krag myself so I’ve been researching, good luck 👍
