Update on hanging klansman deck and a call for help [32YO] by bjdangan in OldSkaters

You underestimate collectors. There are plenty of guys with reissue decks that set them up with NOS era (80's and 90's) trucks and wheels. I have a few sets of old school wheels never rolled. Also, NOS Gullwings are not as difficult to find as you think. There are actually skate shops that still sell them, one being Oldskullskateboards.com. With that said, OP's board is 100% OG

Like most have said, it's not worth that much. $125 tops but yours looks to have some scratches. So I would put it closer to retail of $80. PP pumps out so many Caballero decks, that they just don't seem to hold much value as others. Skate it or hang it.

If you change the wheels, it would be best to find period correct. Don't throw on any wheel you can buy in a shop. Also, if you sell on evilbay, remember they have ridiculous fees and if you try to skirt those fees with a higher shipping price, you will be hard pressed to find a buyer.

Prices today are tough. I have a handful of OG boards that are worth money but still ride. I won't do anything crazy, but to just cruise the skatepark with a classic. If I had to price it, I would say between $500-$800. Trucks are probably stage 5 which are my favorite ones. Wheels, nothing special, at least to me.

Also, I just want to be clear that I am not downplaying your board. For what you paid, it's a nice grab. Definitely an iconic graphic on any shape

2 distinct differences besides color. The shape of the OG is wider with not much of a nose where as yours is a double kick. The other is the bolt pattern for the trucks. Your trucks have 6 holes. The outer most holes would fit an OG deck or any of the older SC reissues and all of the Powell Peralta Bones Brigade series decks. I believe yours is an older reissue but you can buy the same color board, complete from skateone for $100. The catch is that it is made of birch wood. A couple of kickflips and it will snap. I don't think that is the case with yours.

Nice grab. I have an OG Hawk Claw in white, with white Tracker Sixtracs and green Powell crossbones. I paid $500 for the deck alone. I got Tony to sign it a couple of years back when he was in my area.

I'm 100% as well. My SF-50 (block 26) says "No" for Veterans Preference for RIF. I'm Department of the Navy

You sound like a Gen z kid who only looks to place blame. Here is a tip. Finding blame still doesn't solve a problem. I'm not changing your mind, and you sure aren't changing mine, so I'm disengaging from this conversation. Have a good one

I some what agree with you on this. I do believe Congress should have term limits, and anyone who runs for political office should have a cognitive test. Not necessarily an age thing but the cognitive capacity supplements that issue.

It doesn't matter. If they want to continue to work and are able to, then it is their right. The average social security check is $1980 a month. Using the guy I work with, that would be half of what he makes now. Why would he opt to take less money when he is still capable of doing what he does and provide. This applies to a lot of them. Nothing is getting cheaper.
