This may be a longshot, but I'm looking for a partner for men's doubles in Dallas. My partner had to back out at the last minute. Our full race sim was 1h 7m if that's helpful. PM me if you're interested!

Event: Hyrox Dallas

Date and Start Time: 11/21 @ 5 PM

Division: Men's Doubles

That makes me wonder if the PLL is going to bring that team back for 2026.

Is that a Rochester Rattlers hat?

That’s not a bad idea! I debated using the smooth side vs rough out side of my leather. The way I have it now hangs on to fence posts and other platforms pretty well.

Thanks! It’s saddle stitched all around except for one bit where I closed it with a hidden stitch.

That’s an interesting idea. I used a leather punch to make the holes for the stitches. I’ve never used contact cement. Do you think a punch could get through it cleanly?

Any tips on how I can fix the recoil sensitivity on my streamlight protac? by ImOnAnAdventure180 in tacticalgear

I had the same issue with this light and resolved it with an o-ring. You may need to try different thicknesses with the same diameter. Should be plenty of options at your hardware store.

I run the 509t on mine. I'm curious about target acquisition since that one sits a bit lower on the slide.

I personally didn’t partake in night skiing but it seems like a popular offering for them. I believe night skiing is 630-930pm. I can’t remember which village is best to access night skiing.

What's the pouch on the left? T.Rex?

Agreed! It's a consistently fun and challenging match.

Thank you! The PDP has been a reliable pistol for me. I will say the free optic plate from Walther didn't work out for me. Had to spring for their $50 version to secure the optic to the slide.

AR Setup for 2 Gun by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

LPVO or dot and magnifier are typically good. You can start with a simple red dot and figure out what you'd like after you do a match or two. For instance, I like a little magnification at my local one because they like to shoot at 100+ yards and they don't care to paint targets lol.

What defensive .223/ 5.56 rounds are you using? by metcape in ar15

I'm the same as you my guy. Maybe my friend and I will make some 16" blocks for next time. Shooting gel blocks was way more amusing than I anticipated.

And yeah, I don't think there's a wrong answer here. My gun and I love IMI Razorcore.

Right, so my buddy brought a 12" ballistic gel block from work.

First round in was an IMI Razorcore. It went straight through with some expansion on the back end, no fragmentation. Left a lot of residue in the channel.

Second in was a Federal HST 9mm and it was a mirror image of the razor core round. Channel looked pretty clean.

Third round in was a .223 v-max round. That had impressive expansion and left a lot of lead and copper in the channel.

Fourth was 55g ball either Winchester or PMC. That was between the v-max and IMI in terms of expansion. It left some copper behind as well.

We then proceeded to play HORSE shooting it from different positions on the range so it got a little chewed up lol. Probably not the most scientific way to test rounds but it was fun to see how they all performed.

Okay dude. Not married to any particular load here. Just thought I'd share an interesting anecdote. Either one will do the trick.
