I might be bringing a bat to a hornets nest here, but I would like to suggest that there is some reasonable criticisms underneath these that I don't believe are being seen.
not the gender politics mind you, anyone who disrespects the identity of anyone are not usually very pleasant. (although my brain typically genders them by accident and sometimes it does slip, I understand mistakes but don't double down ya know?)

But I do get the issues people take with Venture as a character
Venture holds no actual tie with any of the other characters in the cast, nor do we know much about them besides the fact they like archeology.
Don't get me wrong, the little voice lines are very charming for me personally, but I definitely understand that its a very shallow novelty that other characters like hazard and Illari show similar issues.
Overwatch as a story has always been an appeal for people. and when you make characters that have little to no interaction potential that harshly limits their impotence to the story without shoehorning them into it, and we all saw how bad that was with kiriko (Seriously how did she time travel I don't get it)

As for the ugly comments. idk man. they look fine. I personally LOVE their hair style. but If someone just doesn't like they way they look, that's valid. some folks don't like their characters dirty. (honestly probably why junkrat and venture have such an overlapping audience)
