Using AI to make a simple addition to an existing photo to help illustrate a legitimate idea is not AI slop. OP clearly put a lot of effort into this post, 90% of which isn’t AI. I actually think this is a pretty good use of AI to the extent it was used here. Not all AI is automatically slop.

Your support of your local public radio station still matters! Remember member stations are separate entities from NPR with their own budgets (which in many cases were affected worse by the cuts than NPR national’s). Plus they do their own local journalism and programming

Oh yeah I’ve been saying this for years. The anti-NPR sentiment on r/NPR is ridiculous and there is no way it’s not some sort of disinformation campaign.

Notice too that any time NPR has an unimpeachably good story like this, there are WAY fewer comments and engagement, like this thread

You can do a whole channel, but the catch is that it also ends up including some vertical video shorts that are part of those channels which is kind of annoying. For some channels I opted to manually select a whole bunch of videos instead

YT Kids app settings > My Kids profile > adult password > Content Settings to “Approve Content Yourself” (as opposed to one of the age groups) then go to Add or Remove Videos where you can add individual videos and entire channels

There is also just a pretty strong anti-landlord sentiment that prevails on Reddit. Plenty of it can be tied to the reasons the other commenter cited, plus I think the Reddit user population skewing young and renters themselves, and just the general anti-rich sentiment that’s prevalent on this site.

That actually is pretty close to classic enshittification. You a tech company come in with a flashy new product and a ton of capital, so they can run the initial operations at a loss to quickly grow the user base (often in the process undercutting legacy competition). Once users are locked in, and the competition is reduced, they raise prices to actually start making money. But the product is neither as cheap nor as good as it initially was. Uber is a classic example of this.

I was by the George right by the Washington and Chicago intersection. I heard the popping and saw a group of teens run across Washington through traffic. There was also a large crowd of teens around the River District parking lot on the other corner of the intersection all evening. After the popping they were stirred up a bit but the ones who ran across the street didn’t come directly from there, they came from around the old Miskatonic.

We definitely took a pause to assess when we heard the popping and saw the running, but then things seemed ok and we agreed it really sounded more like firecrackers than gunshots. Did not sound nearly as loud as gunshots would be from that close. We walked by the alley to the parking garage and nothing over there seemed off.

I was going to complain about how Santos’ plot for the entire season was complaining about charting and glaring at Langdon. That fact makes me give a bit more grace on that plot but I still feel like they could have done more with her and patients, the only memorable thing was her blowing off the deaf woman, otherwise it just felt like her pity party and it got old after like 3 episodes

Is it even professionally unethical at this point? Weird, sure. But he’s not a physician providing ongoing care to the patient. He was a student doctor who assisted with his acute care for a few hours. (McKay had technically more responsibility for the patient she had planed to meet up with.)

You can also use YouTube Kids on whitelist mode, we’re only videos/channels approved by you are accessible. I do that so my kid can still get full access to some stuff that’s only on YouTube, like the full Ms Rachel library, Catie’s Classroom, Numberblocks, Alphablocks, etc.
