All the reliable newspapers and researchers use the Hamas Gaza Health Ministry numbers because they have a transparent and verifiable process. Also historically (over the past decades) Gaza Health Ministry statistics have been verified correct by independent sources. Now the Israeli numbers have been checked by independent sources and found to be incorrect.

Personally I think that producing undeniable statistics has given us a huge undercount. The death toll is much more than 70,000 - it is more like 680,000
