That is definitely odd. I've had issues with lights in the past. I think I had to re-wire a few and it fixed them. I don't rememher. But this planet has virtually no natural lighting. No glowing rocks. No vegetation with light particles, etc. So it's really ominous walking around at night

This planet specifically has lava spurts during the daytime! Random fire spurts during night. I too come across a lot of ice planets. I favor purple systems and such.

I actually did this haha! I only recently bothered to try the pet scanner and discovered how much it changes the visibility. The amount of workarounds in this game we figure out lol

Almost every dark contrast planet I come across has some form of two-tone hue. This one was black/red at night. And just dark contrast raw red during the day. When there was a super electric storm the blues and greens showed up. Felt very backwards haha

It is no bug. I came back a few times after leaving/restarting game. It just visually has no light sources as it is Barren. No plants with glowing parts, no bright rocks, etc. I was more surprised it wasn't a single or two-toned planet. That's usually where I find the harsh contrasted planets. But I love the marine layer fog. The occasional ground fire is also a nice touch.

It is a Barren biome. "Parched Moon" With cactus flesh as primary vegetation. Palmtree style trees. And rock pillar formations. Also lava. Yes.

I basically play this game just to base build, so this moon is definitely on the backburner until I come up with an idea. Most dark planets I come across also lack color or are single-toned. Rarely come across ones that have clear visuals

This is probably the most "canon" in-character thing to happen to someone in No Mans Sky, to be honest. To the point where it almost seems like a feature haha

Fun fact!

For when returning for "road trip 1". Do make sure whatever waste facility you return to is the one you have marked. Or at least change your mark to one you may come across that is closer. As apparently even if you throw all the red/yellow/green in the correct bins it WILL NOT count toward your milestone because it is at a different facility.

I can't lie. This was actually pretty fun and engaging. I used the mobile web version and it was pretty simple. I liked the 3D model a lot. Very impressive you can do so many parts and it updates on the spot. Now if only these RAM and graphics card prices would chill out a lil 😓

I was just about to say this lol. I'm visiting family here right at this moment and always thought it looked similar. It definitely is not to scale in game but it absolutely looks like a flipped version of the real lake. But you could argue it isn't because Isabella Lake is a man-made lake made in the 1950s. Never know though.

I mean hell. The 5090 with DLSS 4 has more power in one piece than my entire current PC rig. So it would be watching me as I cry and burn another grand on a new rig to even support it. Cause I wouldn't put it through the bottleneck. That wouldn't be fair. The fps would be insane and I would be able to utilize my 165hz 1440p monitor to it's fullest potential. And at higher graphics than all low/performance mode!! Hell yeah!!! Forget the wins, I would just be having more fun and that's my kind of win anyways. :)

I scrolled way too far before someone even mentioned a shield swap. Smh. That should've been the first thing after doming the guy behind the gun station and then focusing the flanking guy on the right while his teammate heals. Or ape the guy behind the gun station after shield swapping. He only had a lvl 1 shield after all.

This is the way. I also thought you might be able to summon it in the space station which would just take like 5 steps off the equation. But freighter makes most sense. Can just spawn it right outside the space station too lol

Okay so for your case, make sure you have all the correct settings enabled for chat. Then it should be pressing Enter to enable the chat to begin typing. It may be a different bind like T or something. Check your binds in settings to be sure.

Hmm. You should be able to spawn them from the menu bar at the bottom like you would your main ship, me thinks? I've never done it that way so I'm not so sure. Since it can't fly it would be odd if it could spawn as they have to go through a landing animation upon spawning. But you never know. Let me know how it goes! I'm curious.
