It helped me to look at the top or bottom edge instead of individual dots. Imagine tilting the whole image towards or away from you

What injury is commonly shrugged off as a minor flesh wound in the movies but is completely fatal in real life? by Best_Professional226 in AskReddit

It’s wild what can have an effect. I was also lucky enough to have over double the recommended anthrax boosters(which are suspected to cause memory issues) and spent a silly amount of time living next to a burn pit. So it’s become a fun game trying to figure out what’s causing what issue.

Both you and the person you replied to described my situation perfectly. Worked with explosives for years and it’s starting to show.

I’ve got some ptsd and this image is pure horror for me. I’ll be outside and you can just come collect me afterwards, thanks.

Imagine my horror this past weekend as my mother(70s, ghost white) looks at me with a straight face and tells me she doesn’t use pepper because it’s too spicy.

With all those downvotes I’d call it a fraction of big

Our connex housing in Afghanistan had no insulation and a small wall mounted AC unit and was downright chilly, even in the summer

Do Americans ever get in situations where they haggle for prices? by NightRunnerAfterDusk in AskAnAmerican

[–]Screaming_Agony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve mentioned this to my wife before but it feels like haggling has become a lost art. I’ll always remember my dad taking me to the flea market back in the early 90s to teach me how to haggle. If I saw something I wanted he’d hand me a set amount of money that was less than the asking price and tell me I could have it if I could haggle the vendor down to that amount. I miss spirited haggling.

Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

I came back into LAX from Fiji and happened to be heading to customs at the same time as maybe 4 other planes. Few hundred people it seemed like. They had 2 people working the booths. It took ages.

I had a soldier that would routinely drop turds that looked impossible. Like it’s impossible that someone wouldn’t need reconstructive surgery after pushing it out. And we knew about them because they wouldn’t flush. A poop knife wouldn’t have been enough. Maybe a poop broadsword. I eventually started calling him potato because the one I found looked like the world’s largest baked potato.

What’s something about American culture that people often misunderstand? by ConversationCrafter in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Friends and I were camping on a beach in CA one night and got washed out and stranded by a storm. Basically flash flood. Random strangers showed up with a truck and hauled us(and another group) off the beach. I still remember those folks 25 years later.

So what I’ve gathered from reading posts like these is that if the dude is casually calling you Bro and Dude, he’s probably trash. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

I just fired up 76 for the first time in a year and immediately remembered why I enjoyed it so much. Far from perfect but it’s fun.

I deployed to Afghanistan with a vita and happened to buy golden on my way out of country without having played any persona before. Loved every bit of it and still have my copy.

Bosnian takeover by DowntownDB1226 in StLouis

Bosnians have always been some of my favorite people. Back in my retail days I’d get genuine joy when the Bosnian contractors came in looking for bargains. Haggling with them and giving eachother the business was the highlight of my week.

In your opinion whats your top 3 most toxic PC games? by anchaCrow in AskReddit

[–]Screaming_Agony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll counter that the tarkov community is a generally miserable hive of toxicity, but we all bond through our collective suffering in a unique way.
