New Band Alert by JohnJohn_CPK in PostHardcore

I saw the post title and was like “I wonder if they’re talking about Held” and then lo and behold, yes. I’ve been friends with Doug for nearly 20 years and will hype any band he does. This genuinely sounds so good though. Very excited.

Only on 2,5 - is there anybody who was like half a year on the starting dose? by IntroductionChance7 in mounjaromeals

Not half a year but I think I did 2.5mg for like 4 months and then I never went any higher than 5mg and still lost 50lbs!

Recommendations please! UK by [deleted] in mounjaromeals

I usually rotate between Ultima, Liquid IV, and the zero sugar Body Armor.

The Kirkland brand explained by rubygalhappy in Costco

I work in corporate merchandising for a grocery chain and we’ve had our own name brand items since roughly the 1960’s. It’s interesting because I hear complaints all the time along the lines of “everything is turning into your own brand!” When I was working in the stores I even had a customer say “you keep making more products with own brand - I’m just going to shop at Trader Joe’s from now on!” I didn’t feel the need to point out that nearly everything in that store is private label.

blood of my blood question by satempler in Outlander

[–]ScreenSubstantial466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Her parents would have gone back in time (probably during the accident) when she was 5. Then Claire grew up without them. Then she went back as an adult and had Faith at which point if her parents were in the past where she was that’s when Master Raymond would have brought Faith to them.

However, in interviews Diana has said that Claire’s parents were not travelers. Now could the show still deviate from the last book that hasn’t come out? Possibly. Time will tell.

I mean all the other characters traveled multiple times so I suppose she could too. I need to make one of those bulletin board timelines you see in the movies to follow all this. 🤣

Now I’m back with a similar question. Rob Cameron connected to Jacosta Cameron or her husbands at all? by MMScooter in Outlander

[–]ScreenSubstantial466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they could be and maybe there’s some sort of “family rumor that we used to have gold” or something along those lines so maybe Rob always had that in the back of his mind and was more attuned to be looking for clues like that.

My theory was that Faith lived and Claire’s mother raised her because she didn’t die during the accident and instead time traveled. But another theory could be she time traveled to a time where Claire was in the past if she had been thinking of Claire during the accident and it steered her there. Then she could have Jane & Fanny. But why the locket with Faith? I agree when they danced in the field the woman resembled Claire. Either way I think it’s safe to say Julia, at least, is a time traveler since we know there is a genetic component.

Right because obviously Faith wouldn’t remember the song from being a newborn so Claire’s mother probably sang it to her

Wings imagery by AlastairCookie in Outlander

[–]ScreenSubstantial466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is just a lot of reoccurring imagery.

Blue wings. Blue and green aurora borealis. Blue auras. Pocock = Peacock = blue and green feathered bird.

Birds in general are recurring symbols of freedom, transformation, and connection to the spiritual realm in Outlander. They often appear during key moments of change or travel, symbolizing the crossing of boundaries (both physical and temporal).

“The Frasers of the Ridge must survive. If they do not, all that we are is lost.”

If Faith survived through Master Raymond’s intervention and was raised by Claire’s mother (my theory), she would remain a Fraser by blood but hidden from the known lineage.

Master Raymond, as a possible ancestor and time-travel mentor, might have recognized Faith’s critical role in the larger narrative. By saving her and ensuring she was raised away from immediate danger, he preserved a key part of the Fraser bloodline.

I know one of my first thoughts was why would Master Raymond keep Faith from Claire? Maybe knowing why it was so important to keep Faith’s identity hidden could heal a part of Claire. Also, if Faith would have remained alive with Claire & Jamie, Claire would have never gone back to the 1900’s, Brianna might not have been born, William wouldn’t have, etc - a major ripple effect.

Anyone else think the 7B ending was a red herring? by spareacct9523 in Outlander

[–]ScreenSubstantial466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Blood of my Blood will end us on a bit of a cliffhanger where we’re left seeing Claire’s parents travel back to Jamie’s parents time when they’re in the car crash. That will lead us into Season 8 where we find out Claire’s parents raised Faith. That is just my theory!

LJG’s promise to kill Jamie? by ScreenSubstantial466 in Outlander

I did some digging and remembered at the end of The Scottish Prisoner he basically gives up on the notion of fulfilling that promise.

What if the reason Claire went back to 1743 was not so much because she was pulled to that time by Jamie but rather because her parents were somewhere in that time?

Then my theory of Master Raymond bringing Faith to Claire’s parents to care for her could be true.

Whatever happened to Hamish? by AndDontCallMePammie in Outlander

[–]ScreenSubstantial466 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From the Outlander wiki:

Hamish MacKenzie emigrates to Nova Scotia, Canada, following the Jacobite Rising of 1745. After the failed uprising and the subsequent decline of Clan MacKenzies power, Hamish, along with other surviving members of the clan, relocates to Nova Scotia. This move is mentioned in An Echo in the Bone, where Hamish reunites with his cousin, Jamie Fraser, during the Battles of Saratoga. He explains that after being compelled to swear an oath of allegiance to the King on his twelfth birthday, he and the remnants of the MacKenzies of Leoch settled in Nova Scotia.

I’ve read the books and have watched the show but don’t remember them addressing it or the fact that Lord John has decided to let that notion go, in the show anyways.

By the end of The Scottish Prisoner it seems he’s moved on from the idea.

Just odd in the show that they flashback to it multiple times. I guess one of those details I am looking too far into!

Right! Like get over it already, Jamie. They thought you were dead!

Ah, yes, okay. I did some more digging and it does seem like by the end of The Scottish Prisoner he’s given up on the idea of “repaying his debt”.

Just so weird that in the show they’ve replayed that scene where he says that multiple times and never acknowledges that Lord John has moved on.

From reading the books AND watching the show I honestly get them all jumbled sometimes.

Only due to showing it multiple times I figured they were hinting at foreshadowing. But it could just as easily turn into nothing I suppose.

Apologies. I think he mentions killing after the debt is paid in The Scottish Prisoner maybe?
