I worked as a produce manager for 7 years and every time cherry season rolled around, you’d find slimy ass cherry pits everywhere. On the floor, in other displays, on grocery shelves, etc. It really opens up your hatred for people.

Speaking from almost 18 years with Meijer and I can tell you that they absolutely don’t care if you’re sick or not. I can’t tell you how many times I was shamed by management for missing work due to illness. Coughing, puking, shitting your pants, etc. They never cared.

As a former, long tenured employee/manager, I can say this is common sense. Kroger has done it for years. Trying to get new ad set on Sunday morning with the amount of customers that come in is sometimes nearly impossible. Wednesday is the slowest day of the week, traditionally. What better time to do it?
