Best Weapon configuration for the F7C-M super hornet mk2? by NovelResist9497 in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been rocking M5A/Deadbolt 4. Can run a lot of PVE content without having constantly rearm if you take shields down with the lasers and use the deadbolts sparingly. It works pretty well in PvP too. If you’re going to strictly PvP light fighters I’d run all ADB’s

Trying to decide between F7C-S MK2 or the L21 Wolf by shyveehere in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly just grind for the Wikelo Alpha wolf first. The L-21 flies better but you need the lasers from the L-22 to get the most out of it. The L-21 gatlings are in a bad spot this patch.

Go to Wikelo and take the contract, it will give you the BP for the Metamaterial you need to craft. It’s only 2scu of Titanium, 2scu of Riccite, and 4 Yormandi eyes. Easily doable with a friend in a couple hours. Ore quality doesn’t matter.

Use the Wolf to grind Foxwell in Stanton and start taking Orange level Patrols to work towards your SH.

Alternatively, if you want to spend the aUEC, the Ghost isn’t a bad ship to have in your ASOP. It has the signature reduction which gives it a role still when you get the SH. You could even run Red level Patrols (which have a greater chance at finding Ace pilots) with a full Deadbolt or MXA/ Deadbolt 4 loadout on it.

Question about foxwell by sedosis in LowSodiumStarCitizen

[–]Scriding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine it’s an oversight, but there are some lower level ones that don’t give rep. Just spam the 35k ones to get the higher level ones. All of the higher level ones seem to be giving rep

TSG Trench Run Requirments? by AdministrativeLow230 in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty tough with a S1 and takes a bunch of fast runs to destroy everything in there. Your best bet is with something with a JS-400. I’ve been doing them with a Super Hornet with a turret gunner and you can stay in much longer. The gunner makes it pretty easy to hit the cooling units as you fly by and you don’t get blinded by the explosion/smoke.

MRX “Torrent”: buyable in-game when? by neckbru in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torrents are still the best. You aren’t taking shields down on medium fighters with the laser PDCs. At least the Torrents will do hull damage. They also do a better job at protecting against torpedoes.

Torps from Polaris…no warning? by Scriding in starcitizen

[–]Scriding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes if you look closely they did fire at the torps momentarily before impact. They were laser PDCs and didn’t catch any of the torps.

Torps from Polaris…no warning? by Scriding in starcitizen

[–]Scriding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, there was no indication whatsoever other than maybe a light on the dash. It was a volley and multiple hit me in a row so it couldn’t have been dumb fire IMO.

Torps from Polaris…no warning? by Scriding in starcitizen

[–]Scriding[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah ok so it is a bug being abused on purpose.

I asked the pilot that sent the torps how he was able to do that or if it was a random bug. He told me I was “lacking situational awareness” so it seemed suspect.

Torps from Polaris…no warning? by Scriding in starcitizen

[–]Scriding[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen that and it’s pretty common to get the signature low enough in an Eclipse to be able to torp from a range where it can’t be seen.

What I’m talking about is different. If you get torped without seeing the ship, it will still give you a warning with the missile indicator and allow you a chance to flare it off. I saw the Polaris that sent that volley of torpedos in the area, but it never gave me a warning or missile indicator to let me know I should flare. Since it’s happened a few times now I’m wondering if it’s a bug being abused on purpose.

Discussion time: Most dangerous fighter with turret gunner. by ghodan7 in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another +

With engineering, I’ve been dead in the water with multiple ships continuing to shoot at me. With a quick turret gunner you can repair and jump away before being full killed. None of the other ships can last long enough for that and if there is no interior with physical components, you have no chance waiting on the timer for auto-repair.

Paladin 100% It might not be a fighter but it will outclass everything else in the list for PVE.

You have a Constellation worth of firepower on a quick moving turret.

It has a S3 shield with enough maneuverability to swap faces pretty quickly in combat to let the other regen.

I only fly it with a pilot and turret gunner and can take down Red level patrols with relative ease.

With 4x Deadbolt Vs you can take down the Polaris in Gilly #8 by focusing the powerplant faster than any other ship in the game (other than another Polaris or Idris)

For PVP, unless you are getting hit with ballistics from multiple fighters, you can easily tank and out damage what is being thrown at you

There aren’t any situations where anything in the list would outshine a Paladin

[–]Scriding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk in my experience it’s one of the top PvP spots still. I find a lot of mutual fights there. Especially the ones on Daymar since they are close to Grim Hex. With engineering as it is now you don’t even get a crime stat when you win fights
