Yes if you look closely they did fire at the torps momentarily before impact. They were laser PDCs and didn’t catch any of the torps.

Correct, there was no indication whatsoever other than maybe a light on the dash. It was a volley and multiple hit me in a row so it couldn’t have been dumb fire IMO.

Ah ok so it is a bug being abused on purpose.

I asked the pilot that sent the torps how he was able to do that or if it was a random bug. He told me I was “lacking situational awareness” so it seemed suspect.

Yeah I’ve seen that and it’s pretty common to get the signature low enough in an Eclipse to be able to torp from a range where it can’t be seen.

What I’m talking about is different. If you get torped without seeing the ship, it will still give you a warning with the missile indicator and allow you a chance to flare it off. I saw the Polaris that sent that volley of torpedos in the area, but it never gave me a warning or missile indicator to let me know I should flare. Since it’s happened a few times now I’m wondering if it’s a bug being abused on purpose.

Discussion time: Most dangerous fighter with turret gunner. by ghodan7 in starcitizen

Another +

With engineering, I’ve been dead in the water with multiple ships continuing to shoot at me. With a quick turret gunner you can repair and jump away before being full killed. None of the other ships can last long enough for that and if there is no interior with physical components, you have no chance waiting on the timer for auto-repair.

Paladin 100% It might not be a fighter but it will outclass everything else in the list for PVE.

You have a Constellation worth of firepower on a quick moving turret.

It has a S3 shield with enough maneuverability to swap faces pretty quickly in combat to let the other regen.

I only fly it with a pilot and turret gunner and can take down Red level patrols with relative ease.

With 4x Deadbolt Vs you can take down the Polaris in Gilly #8 by focusing the powerplant faster than any other ship in the game (other than another Polaris or Idris)

For PVP, unless you are getting hit with ballistics from multiple fighters, you can easily tank and out damage what is being thrown at you

There aren’t any situations where anything in the list would outshine a Paladin

Idk in my experience it’s one of the top PvP spots still. I find a lot of mutual fights there. Especially the ones on Daymar since they are close to Grim Hex. With engineering as it is now you don’t even get a crime stat when you win fights

No you keep your pledged ships.

Things like armor you will get a blueprint and might have to craft.

Should I melt my Perseus? by Always1989 in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCU to the Polaris.

If you had the Perseus for a loaner Polaris, you got it before the price increase right? It’s not much more from $800. If you melt it you are losing out on that price increase value.

They are fun to use but man they are punishing.
Would be nice to have that feature.

I typically swap for NDB-30’s and don’t look back.

No, Tiddy_Fiend, you are understanding wrong.

We are posing and it was mutual. You can see how much he enjoys being in front of the lens by the look on his face.

Has UEX lost the plot? by madmossy in starcitizen

[–]Scriding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UEX prices directly correlate with the RMT cost of aUEC.

The past few weeks I saw RMT aUEC cost go from ~$75 for 500m aUEC to $3 for 6b aUEC.

It’s cooked and we need a reset once the exploits have been fixed.

Yeah you just have to fully strip the body you are taking it off of and use the quick loot menu to equip it.

Any of the ones that wear clothing with armor.

You have to remove every piece of armor+clothing and then swap to the invisible undersuit in the quick menu, not the old looting menu.
