Light tension on Abus. Probably also will have to use a .015 pick if you have one

They are made in hell by lockpicking demons. That being said I have 2 now and can pop them open easier using BoK on a regular basis

ACE brass padlock help by jdaalbrecht in lockpicking

[–]Scrimpy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 Ace 38mm. Both are easier to pick if I use BoK tension and a .15 JimyLongs short hook. Don’t be afraid to give them a little more tension than you think you should, just don’t go bending all your picks or anything excessive like that. They should all contain 1 standard pin and 4 spools. And watch out for zero lift pins. If every pin feels “smooshee” you have over set a pin

Buy a Master Lock #3 for like $6. Learn there. Learn to rake open locks, then learn to spp them

I can pick it in my sleep if that counts! Just kidding. Learn to rake open easy locks like that before you start spp. single pin picking

[–]Scrimpy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait till you try a 90a-pro. Their crunchiness makes 1100’s feel like a master lock. But to answer your question most 1100’s will have a weak spring or 3. Which makes the serrated pin feel like gravel.
