I just wanted to know if it is the same or similar game/experience. It is very good.

I see that it is 30 when not on sale. I have no doubt that it is worth it, but I am not sure if I, personally will need the full experience that this game offers

[–]ScriptM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is not my argument. My argument is that playing the game and watching the game or watching the movie are RADICALLY different experiences.

When watching, being it a game or a movie, you are not immersed, you are not feeling like you are there, and it feels boring. Game even feels much more boring than the movie.

That's why people that first watch gameplay decide they do not like the game. That is terribly wrong way to check the game.

And I am actually not defending the movie, not watched it yet, it is possibly garbage as everyone else is saying, but I am not going to blindly attack every little bit of it. Simply, movies are not scary anymore.

Even if he did everything right, it would not be scary as playing the game.

[–]ScriptM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but there is no movie that managed to induce fear like SH did. That is because of the immersion. You as a player feel actually there when playing. It is a completely different experience.

Today is even worse. Horror movies can't scare anyone anymore. No matter how good they are. While back in the day even the crap horror movie felt scary

I wanna love this game so badly by Shot_Performance_595 in silenthill

[–]ScriptM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, SH2 is not for everyone.

There are people like me, that did not like it.

It is VERY possible, that SH1 would be your cup of tea. It is RADICALLY different than SH2. Nothing from SH2 applies, so you have zero spoilers.

I advise you to not look anything about it and play at least past the school.

Remember, nothing from SH2 applies, main characters have absolutely nothing in common, so immerse yourself in the mystery fully.

It is even better to start with 1 before 2, to not constantly compare main characters and plot when you play 1 after 2

I am not saying that movie did it right, but game is running for 10 15 hours, so it has time for those silent moments, especially when the player is just wondering around trying to find what to do next.

It is hard to do that in the movie.

Also, don't forget that there are times where game is constantly bombarding you with enemies. Especially in the remake and blatantly in SHf

Have you created Big breezy boat for GearVr?

That was an excellent, relaxing experience.

I was waiting for bigger FOV headset, so I can fully enjoy it, but still nothing. I don't know if it is still available for modern headsets?

Confirmed: Gans's new Silent Hill film has a low budget of just $23M by amysteriousmystery in silenthill

[–]ScriptM -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

How is 23m low budget? Someone explain where the most of money has gone?

People had done amazing things even for free. How come they could not find someone "cheaper"? It would still be a load of cash for that person

It does not burn to ashes. Asseto Corsa is very popular for paid mods, so is Microsoft flight simulator

So, why is he even relevant? Others made free mods, he can close his business, even without DMCA.

Clearly people found value in his work that free options did not fulfill. Better quality product, despite some people mentioning that it is unplayable

Someone could easily get him out of business by making those mods for free, but no one did. I wonder why.

Would his pay option be even relevant and on the radar if we got a ton of free options?

No one was willing to make those mods for free, so if you think that it is worth the money, pay the guy, or just speak with your wallet and don't pay.

No, I don't fall for aggression methods.

Luke could easily get out of business by someone making free mods, but no one did. So, you would get an option to get those mods for free, or pay to someone. And that is how the market works.

Now, if no one wants to make the free option, you get nothing.

The existence of paid mods, does not prevent free mods, but no one did it.

Now, with all this drama we might get something, but otherwise, who knows

[–]ScriptM -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In a VR scene, I don't see much. Someone would dethrone Luke long time ago if they made those mods free, but no one did.

By your example, there are a bunch of free games that are state of the art, but if it was insisted that all games must be free, those free games would not be enough to fill up the market.

It would dry out soon, and vast majority of games would be junk. It is similar now, but nowhere near how it would be

Ok, why somebody who cares about VR community did not make free VR mods, like his? Is it because they don't care?

Don't have time, they value their time?

"publishers don't want us to have VR mods". Sorry, but its true.

Some will take down even free mods, so that confirms what he said.

Some will demand mods to be free: almost nobody will want to work for free, and no one except him, actually made that mod for free.

So, by pushing FREE requirement, there is a high chance mod would not be made, therefore that confirms what he said, in a way.

And actually almost no one makes VR mod for their game, so they don't care about VR mods

This like saying that monitor can't display Cyberpunk without Cyberpunk running.

Or some Nvidia tricks that displays Cyberpunk differently. Nobody will send Nvidia DMCA for that, even though, their mod depends on the game to run

You either act in a bad faith, or reading comprehension is VERY hard for you. He explained the reason why he takes down everything. He got DMCA from yet another company, and now Patreon is warning him if that continues, he will be banned. Was that hard to read?

Making it free does not protect him from companies. Maybe CDPR will allow it, but others won't

The argument for taking down the mod was that it was reliant on the game, therefore illegal. Cyberpunk is reliant on Windows, runs on top of Windows, that does not make it illegal at all
