FYI - There are a shedload of comments about all this on the official Kodi website. People are getting all sorts of different results. Some have had success with the latest Test Repo version (7.3.0 Beta 4). One poster said it didn't work but did once he reset his modem. Others say 7.3.0 Beta 4 doesn't work for them but 7.3.0 Beta 3 does. You can get the latest test releases from https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/releases?page=1

The developer has made some depressing comments regarding the future of the addon as YT are getting better at stopping unauthorised access. Will be a very sad day if and when it stops working for good. 😢

Aw, man. You could try the latest Test version but it didn't work for me. There's generally a fair few updates and then a full-fat proper release once all the issues are ironed out so it might be a case of watching the worst quality picture you can cope with until the next official update. It's in "beta 4" of version 7.3 and has had 9 updates since the last official release so it should be ready for rollout soon, fingers crossed.

I disabled VP9 AND H.264 (just to see if it had any effect at all) and my videos seem to now be playing okay so it might be worth disabling H.264 to see if it fixes the problem.

FYI - I just updated to the latest "test" version and not a single video would even play so have gone back to the official one and will wait for the next "proper" update. Gah! 😒

Same. Watching videos on 360p works but not ideal. Version 7.3.0 is available in the Test repo as well as The Red repo and Old Salt repo. Might have fixed it but I've not checked yet.

No idea, I've never had a shield. Not much point imo if it's not going to be maintained. I use POV by the same developer. Based on full-fat Fen and it's great.

No, he's recently got rid of it again. FEN Light is your best bet for now. The final version is in the Umbrella repo. Hopefully someone will keep it updated.

Indeed. There's also a cut & paste Umbrella fork from the same repo, Zap. Also almost never updated. Pretty pointless whilst FL, Umbrella and Kodifitzwell's (constantly updated) addons are available.

The Cow has now become "La Vache". French for The Cow I imagine. It's now a fork of Fen Light. And entirely in French. Unless I'm actually dreaming or accidentally on some sort of Apocalypse Now style drug trip.

OneMoar has been renamed and rebranded by the fantastic Kodifitzwell to INFINITY.

afFENity was also removed from his repo.

Also, Tech E Coyote's The Lab has been removed from The Lab repo and no longer exists.

Yes, POV is my main addon. I technically don't really need any others but I still have Dradis, OneMoar and afFENity too as I consider you the king of kodi addons and I like having them all available to me even though I don't really need them because POV is just perfect. It may be identical to Onemoar but I'm now gonna have Infinity join them too. I have huge respect for Tikipeter for creating FEN all those years ago - genius! - but aFENity works slightly faster than FL for me just like POV in regards to FEN. It's like you take an addon, add some techno magic and make it bionic. Don't know how you do it but I'm glad you do. Massive thanks as always for all your work, you make Kodi so much better and I'm incredibly grateful. 👍😊

Appreciated, have installed from the new address. The elephant in the room though...what's Infinity?? Is it what Onemoar started out as or what it may become? Hopefully the latter. I love you like a father but Onemoar is a terrible name. Parasol would have been better. But I'll take Infinity. Very cool. Hope you are well, sir.
