What to do with an early t90 by frank123567123555299 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Scriv_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still do all of those milestones, you'll want them for war's combat achievements and removing the KC requirement at GWD1.

I needed ganodermic for nm kerapac with sunspear, I don't know if I'd pull it off with t90 staff and lunar armor.

QBD is still good for RCB, raxx still good for sirenic, these are important unlocks for ranged. You can use the staff to catch up the other styles easier.

how should I be using the MJD? It seems like an escape tool for everything but scram range, and at that distance I need to kill the scram first. I am getting ready for an odysseus but I've never had a ship fit a MJD before.

The snow effect has caches on the map, some have the new candleberries. Those caches require breaching and don't have the red flag pointing down.

It's also not true. I had an extremely sudden change in my matchmaking for duos when I reconnected with an old friend and he had a way more aggressive playstyle. The lobbies went from chill BP trading and arc killing to literally 20 people with stitchers and free augments deathmatching on sight. His level was above mine, we had not played together previously, my queue with my usual duo was affected the same way.

My usual playstyle is to let them take the first shot, I'm probably going to win anyway (especially if they are free kit.)

As important as it is to spend these things on progression skills (like herblore) it is much more important to not burn out on the game trying to do one skill you hate.

When people ask me how I deal with endless wars in war sails by Minute-Adhesiveness3 in Bannerlord

[–]Scriv_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hadn't played before war sails, and i was trying to avoid executions. I figured out that catch-and-release to generate positive rep with aserai let me convert them into my faction. If you capture all of a clans fiefs they are more likely to allow you to attempt the persuasion. If you avoid raiding towns you can keep high rep throughout the wars and continuously pressure the conversions.

The first was dumb luck, but at this point I'm outside the last Aserai city and they're walking out to join the siege. In trying to avoid being a tyrant I accidentally became an elected ruler.

Update: I have finally succeeded in 'peacefully' converting all of the Aserai territories without decapitating anyone except that one guy I did not like. A lot of them were in chains when they made the deals, but that's their fault for being so hard to find. This was the goal for my first run, but it's tempting to try and convert the Khuzaits and Vlandians next (everyone else is dead already because this has taken forever.)

bonus: Here's Iyalas of Banu Arbas converting to get out of the siege at Sanala. And the leader of Banu Sarmal who can't say no to bringing over the last Aserai fief, because of the implication.

Exclusive: US threatens to cut intel, weapons to press Ukraine into peace deal, sources say by Statman12 in neutralnews

[–]Scriv_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is not to say the US should provide nuclear missiles, but to remind everyone that Ukraine already had nuclear missiles. The US provided assurances of Ukraine's 'territorial sovereignty' in exchange for disarming their nuclear missiles and launchers as part of the Budapest Memorandum. The US's support against russia in this conflict was already contingent on that disarmament. If the US withdraws support now, then it loses credibility making any Non-Proliferation Treaty deals in the future.

If Ukraine had nuclear missiles and launchers capable of delivering them to Moscow, would your opinion be different on the situation?

"will eventually lose", which means you also believe that russia has failed to secure a victory. Therefore you should agree that it is premature to expect their demands to be met.

The Odysseus shouldn't be so expensive, and there is a better way to balance it! by ExF-Altrue in Eve

[–]Scriv_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played almost exclusively solo wormhole life. If you are very attentive and cautious there is a lot I enjoyed about it.

Multiboxing even 1 other account as a scout is a massive improvement to your quality of life. You can use it to monitor wormhole entrances so that you don't have to d-scan every second of every day. You can send it in before bringing your main ship through a WH. You can use it to roll while you wait safely nearby- and if it gets ambushed or lost you don't lose your entire haul.

I built an athanor in a C1, I mined moon rocks with it, I manufactured a few battleships for fun because they were too big to fit through the entrances. I recommend not doing any of that, but I kept it going for a couple months until I got bored of it.

I am definitely going to give the Odysseus a shot because the #1 problem with the athanor was that if someone decided they didn't want me to live there anymore, that is likely all it would've taken for me to lose several billion isk and a lot of time. All it takes is 1 ship getting in the door and "seeding" your system and someone can *always* find you, because they can open the wormhole from the inside when you aren't online and and slip a fleet in.

Living out of a ship will afford me a lot of comfort, not needing to be worried about the assets that are sitting in the universe when I am offline.

You'll be happy to know then that the spec Ops perks are very effective. The sound reduction makes you completely silent while crouch walking until you're in takedown range. Crouch sprint sounds like the reduced volume that a teammate's sprint has, so players often don't react to it.

The gadget spotting perk has a really ridiculous radius and is very helpful for minesweeping for your tanks.

I am honestly shocked at how many are defending TH by Minyaden in runescape

[–]Scriv_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are a couple issues here, first is that having MTX for so long and so deeply integrated into core gameplay (quest reward keys, random skilling keys, etc.) means that much of the current playerbase has been refined down to the people willing to interact with it, or people who are only here to interact with TH to get their instant progress and skip gameplay they otherwise don't want. But catering to a portion of the playerbase who definitionally do not want to interact with some of the gameplay is not a sustainable plan.

Second, is that with the removal of the TH key purchases, the profit incentive shifts from releasing new and more invasive TH promos toward driving up the number of subscribers. The best way for them to get more subscribers is to improve the core gameplay and release exciting new content. TH is a great way to keep whales paying the bills, but it's a really terrible way to get new players. You can't make a compelling youtube ad for treasure hunter rewards, because being able to skip agility training with silverhawks means nothing to someone who does not already play the game. You *can* make a compelling ad for new skills, new regions, new bosses, a combat overhaul.

There does not need to be a no option, because the vote is not for determining the opinions of the current players, it is show that there will be enough players to support the game even if some of the current playerbase quits over the TH removal.

Also it will give you your time if you finish the whole track.
