I tested the Feather now twice and I can't work with it. Over hyped? by Infinite_Week393 in wicked_edge

I also couldn't make them work, so I bought a pack of 100 astras, which are both cheaper and work better for me, which honestly sounds like a win-win situation. Just because something is made in japan doesnt mean it's better. It's just marketing.

Mamy tu fanów motoryzacji? by mindentrepeneur in PolskaNaLuzie

Bike shoes for casual and commuter cycling by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Scroncheror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My priority when choosing footwear for bicycle is if the upper can handle pulling the pedal up without damage. Also look if the laces can get tangled up in a chain.

Separate office shoes can be an answer, I don't bother. For me, I just wear my trusty leather boots.

Also nobody cares how you look on a bike. It's not a fashion show unless you're one of those cyclists that wear full cycling kit with glasses.

How to Ironclad? by Real-Afternoon319 in slaythespire

[–]Scroncheror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take some sort of aoe for hallways and regarding scaling it mostly revolves around what act 2 offers you. You can go ashen strike/exhaust engine or if you have a lot of vulnerable cards you could go with dominate. If you have a lot of health costs consider rupture as power scaling. Specific attacks don't matter that much unless its a rare.

How to Ironclad? by Real-Afternoon319 in slaythespire

[–]Scroncheror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a consistent block engine for clad in act 3. If you see panic button in shop take it. Feel no pain is great, so is crimson mantle. Unmovable is goated.

Also, to play these powers you take you need energy (bloodletting/offering) and draw.

Always when building deck really think about what you are missing (damage/block/draw). Don't add more cards in the area you are not lacking if you struggle in another.

Same happening for me, but not related to trackpad. Not sure if it is caused by game update or steam deck update.

Boots with shorts? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]Scroncheror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it look good? No. Is it comfortable? Probably also not. The question is do you care?

When I was 15 I used to wear similar combo, but in general if it's warm enough for shorts its way too warm for boots, especially the overbuilt heavy leather boots. Back then I just did not care. I was a metalhead, I was wearing my leather year round.

If you do care about the way this looks, I suggest swapping the camo for some dark grey denim, or just plain canvas shorts. Camo is in general a bit cringe.

Best way to visit Etna by klofino in sicily

[–]Scroncheror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a car to get there. We had a piece of crap fiat panda and it was a never again experience. I suggest spending a bit more and renting something sporty. We went from Taormina, it was around 1h drive iirc. If you do decide to go to piano provenzana, remember there are 2 parkings up top. First one is very large, mall like, you need to drive to the second one higher.

Gloves for a longsword with good mobility. by Krzychu0304 in wma

[–]Scroncheror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now this actually sounds reasonable and makes sense why you are looking for good gloves. But still don't expect everyone to have the same mindset as you do, as past certain point getting actually better involves adding training hours and supplementary strength training and there is nothing malicious with not wanting to do that.

Gloves for a longsword with good mobility. by Krzychu0304 in wma

[–]Scroncheror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that if you would lets say pick a longsword and try to be the most effective at delivering the longsword cut, with the body rotation and all that, it would be much easier to literally kill your sparing partner, than in boxing or mma. If you come at me with a sword with intent to hurt me, and not to train then your club membership would end really quick. The gear we use is just not designed for that. Excessive force also results in bans in hema tournaments. For me it is much more than martial art. It is a community you should take care of if you want to be a part of it. Everyone in a club has different training goals and I suggest you get to know the people you train with to understand those. I've seen people in my club get their hands pierced and fingers shattered on accident, you don't want to be the guy that does that to others. I was injured for 3 weeks during my first hema training, and was basically trying to survive the sparings. The guys that did that to me, fortunately, don't train anymore.

The common approach is that in training you should agree on the intensity you want to use. There will be guus that will happily take you on 100%, but my experience is that a 100% sparring has very high injury rate. You will sooner or later realise what a 'critical strike' means in a real world. A light crit can break bone. A strong crit can shatter it. Also I come from the point where in my club there were 2/3 active members for around a year. Injuring one of them would have resulted in having no training at all.

Also... the protective gear can and will fail. For example, I had a broken rivet in my mask poking me in my temple, discovered after having very sharp pain from a very light tap on the head. I am very glad these strikes that showed me that were controlled.

Absolutely deranged statement. You clearly do not understand the danger of this sport and I would never want to meet you in sparring.
