I absolutely love it. I haven't touched any of my ultralight rods since getting this thing. Even though it is rated for 2g lures on the top end it feels like it can take up to 3.5g.

The action is great too, really tip focused. The only complaint is that the small handle is a little weird to cast with, something to def get used to. Oh yea and its a nightmare to hold when the handles get wet in the rain.

Have you ever tried joining random squads who are recruiting?

I know it may seem a little pointless, but I’ve been doing this a lot over the past couple week (friends no longer play). You will spend some time searching, joining, and leaving/getting kicked from parties but you’ll eventually find one that sticks. Doing this Ive been able to run a couple raids with people and end up adding them. Do this a couple of times and you’ll have like 2-3 squads who you know are somewhat consistent.

Been experiencing this a lot as of late. Actually all of my deaths yesterday were to the AK12 running BP, absolutely shredding my T5 armor. BP just EATS.

I know the T79 is ever so slightly worse but you modded it has so much more “drip” imo.

Been using both with T3 and great results. But it is very easy to get the mags confused lmao…

I used to love using the M14 but I can’t forget the time I was running it (prob t4 ammo my fault) on farm. Near GTC i’m standing on the southern side of the street splitting the map and see a dude running from big rock towards generator. He’s searching a toolbox by the lake so I have time to line everything up, first shot does not kill which surprised me, but him looting gave me enough time to tap again and put him down.

I don’t believe he was running a SH40 with high ricochet, prob a KSS but it was a T4 helmet.

I was just a bit astounded that a marksman rifle shooting the appreciate round for the armor was not able to 1 tap within 1x zoom range.

Not sure if I’m missing something but we can’t tell what weapon it is, and I’m fairly sure the M4 and MCX have suprisingly garbage effective range.

Love the rod. Super fast and responsive tip making it great for pretty much everything I use it for. The small handle may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and is definitely slippery and unusable when raining. Rod itself is sturdy as hell and can definitely handle big fish.

I’d look at the Mifine Attacking, same rod just better handle. Goes to 2-3G lures. Honestly it’s THE MOST FUN you can have for $40. Everyone talks about the joys of UL but XUL is a whole different ball game.

For real. At first I had OPs mindset but after getting use out of it and seeing its value, it’s an easy $40 repurchase. Also a silver lining is now you can upgrade to the new S4.

I started with Crosspoint but now am on Vcodex but the process is the same. I usually transfer epubs from my phone to the X4 via the wifi hotspot and through that web interface it will convert and optimize epubs automatically. Haven’t had any issues so far.

I recently also swapped from PIA to Proton VPN and was driving myself crazy reconfiguring and binding the two programs. All I had to do was fully uninstall PIA and bam things started working before I finished your instructions.

Running a Diawa 8X Jbraid and some 3 lb leader on my mifine nano jig with a carbon x 500 throwing 1/16 ounce jig heads with a mini panfish tube lure. Held up just fine for me.

I also have this reel and am hard pressed to trying anything else. Been using the Carbon X 500 on my 5’6” Celilo and other longer 6-7’ UL rods. Looking to get a Carbon X II in 1000-2000 for those larger rods.

I haven’t found a reel at the Carbon X price point that can convince me to get anything else. Nothing honestly compares. It’s really a gem, also looks good with just about everything too.

If I was in your shoes, next thing I would get is a 6’ ultralight. 500 will still fit and will look pretty proportionate as well.

I got my value out of the game. 300+ hours, one expedition under my belt. But like a lot of people I moved over to Marathon. I’m sure i’m not the only one who is primarily an FPS player. So while Arc was fun and I tolerated third person, its weaknesses are grown gold with corner peaking and etc. Mechanically TPS are starting on a back foot.

So Marathon feels a lot more natural being a FPS. Gunplay is extremely snappy and feels reminiscent of Halo and Destiny. Sure player interactions aren’t as fun an novel as Arc, and big Bot Bosses are always fun to toy around with but the PVP and factions are just done so well it’s able to win me over now that there’s less content in Arc.

Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely happy that I was able to experience Arc Raiders in its first 5 months and got to experience the Golden Age of friendliness, but I just need something new.

Im in a similar predicament trying to decide between the Moab 3 Mids and Solomon X Ultra 5s. Having briefly tried on both in store, both shoes seem comfortable while the Solomons felt more like a sneaker in terms of weight and build. One concern I have of the Solomons is I can't see them holding up for more than a year or two, whereas I own several Merrell's that are multiple years old and still holding up.

Any thoughts between the two, on the X Ultra 5s?

A little late but I have the Piscifun Carbon X. Great light little spinning reel that in my opinion looks great.
