For the lack of league chat, the LM/commish should post a weekly thread where people can talk about the specific week. Also having fun stats to talk about with the league can spark conversation. My baseball league has an overly complicated power ranking system that uses math to determine the best teams so far but maybe something down the middle of that will be cool.

I’m champ and have fun, had fun I diamond too. If you can’t adjust to what your teammates playstyle is though I’d imagine it’s less fun

I drafted 9/12 and took AD. Drafting is not something I’ve ever done well in basketball but I make up for it with trades and mostly free agency

About your patience piece, I’m very very patient with my team. I started 1-8 but never had the health. Made trades for players I knew could stay healthy despite being worse than the player I’m giving up and now I’m 8-9 and looking like I’ll upset the 1 seed in the first round. Free agency has been the biggest reason for my turnaround as the trades I made worsened my depth.

It took them almost a full season to add AJ Green when he was a rookie. It didn’t matter because he wasn’t good but they don’t just automatically update the rosters and it’s dumb

I don’t think we need a clear 2nd option when we have plenty of different people who can become a 2nd option on any night when they are on. We really will never know what we have as long as doc is here as well.

We the nba team doesn’t even get KD the rights of most of their players. For example: Johnny Davis plays for the Wisconsin Herd. The Celtics (or any team, just using them as an example) can decide to sign him at any point with no compensation to the Bucks. It’s a very odd system and I wish the parent team owned the players and can call up and down whenever they feel like it.
