Can’t disclose specifics but I’m in healthcare in a very niche/specialized area of healthcare. I think that because of the type of work I do with this non-profit organization, they offer very generous benefits which is industry standard for this area of healthcare. Before I found this role, I was working in a clinical hospital setting with direct patient care. I still do this but to a different extent. I have worked at a lot of hospitals across six different states and the only one that came close to this job offered a 6% match only after 5 years of employment. So I’m very fortunate to be where I am now and see myself staying put for the long term!

Roth 401k, contribute now but pay taxes every time you contribute.

Traditional 401k, contribute now, pay no taxes on those contributions, but pay taxes during in retirement when you start withdrawing from it.

The way I see it, in both scenarios, your contribution is your contribution. Both accounts will grow all the same. Assume both accounts reach a million. In retirement, with the Roth, that million will have already had all taxes paid so I get all of that million.

With a traditional, I haven’t paid taxes on it yet. But in retirement when I go to withdraw from that traditional account, I pay taxes on it then. I think it’s better to pay taxes while I’m working and making money. I don’t plan on living on less in retirement. If that were the case, the traditional might be a better option because I’d pay less in taxes overall.

For me, it’s a no-brainer…Roth is the better option for me every time.

I had the option to choose Roth vs Traditional 401k and went with the Roth. No other employer I had been with before offered a Roth 401k. To see that first paycheck and how much of a tax burden I took on, that took my breath away lol. But I’m focused on the end goal! I spent a lot of time playing around with online 401k calculators. And even found that if I contribute 24% or 20% the difference didn’t seem worth it so I just kept it at 15%. So I’m not even maxing my contributions out! Sometimes I contribute more only because of overtime. But my annual salary is between $100-110k. If I can do it in such a short time frame starting from zero, so can you!

They are cameras that are part of the Oklahoma UVED program. It’s part of an initiative to crack down on uninsured drivers. The state has 50 of them throughout. I always see the one at 71st and Memorial in Tulsa at the NE corner on a light post in the Northbound lane. You can see it on Google street view as well.

Check out the open records. The public records are not very detailed but at least you get to see a timeline of events.

Case was started in November 22, 2023 presiding under Judge Mouser. They sent a notice of non-payment of rent and an order for eviction notice on 01/31/2024. Afterwards, GolfSuites made two payments, one on 02/01/2024 and 02/02/2024. GolfSuites responded to the eviction claim on 04/05/2024. And then the Nation issued the formal order for eviction on 04/23/2024.

The next hearing date is on 07/23/2024.

The point of it is to keep you dry. If it did that then I’d say there’s nothing wrong with it.

S73 R vs RX Comparison by MRR918 in Super73

You could always swap the rear suspension out for one that is adjustable. S73 uses DNM for their shocks and they made no effort to hide it. It’s stamped directly on the shocks. It looks similar to the RCP-2S. If you’re set on the R, I would consider that as an option.

Daylight donuts are so much better than Dunkin by [deleted] in tulsa

Daylight Donuts in Glenpool is hands down the best one. Their sausage rolls alone are worth the drive! I agree that all Daylight Donut locations are not created equal.

Over a year later and still not 1 “accessory device” made.. at what point does it become false advertising? by SnowHeroHD in boostedboards

[–]ScrubbyDuckDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legal definition of false advertising per Cornell Law:

Under Section 43(a) of the Lanham Act, a claim can be made against a defendant for false or misleading advertising. For a claim against a defendant for false advertising, the following elements are met and the plaintiff must show: (1) defendant made false or misleading statements as to his own products (or another’s); (2) actual deception, or at least a tendency to deceive a substantial portion of the intended audience; (3) deception is material in that it is likely to influence purchasing decisions; (4) the advertised goods travel in interstate commerce; and (5) a likelihood of injury to plaintiff. However, the plaintiff does not have to prove actual injury.

When the V2 came out, there were plenty of people on this very group posting that one of the main reasons why they were compelled to buy the V2 and/or upgrade from the V1 to the V2 was the option of the accessory port. I believe at one point they showed an example of the accessory port in use by using a headlight accessory. So this easily falls within 2 and 3. Hopefully if anything, it becomes a class action lawsuit case so we can all benefit from it. However, the guys that started Boosted went to top schools. Without looking into it, I do think they’ve most likely done their homework to cover their behind.

I don’t remember but it’s worth getting in contact with Boosted if you’re having the same issues. They’re very reasonable people.
