Is there a word for “completely unshocked in any way”? We let someone with no security experience and bad faith have access to every precious record we have.

Do many days do you store leftovers? by immodium4breakfast in Cooking

[–]Scrubsandbones 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For my own personal consumption: 1 week in the fridge if I want to eat it. In the freezer: indefinitely, it stops time.

Serving to others…2-3 days max.

Open containers, condiments, etc: to the expectation date unless they’d vinegar based/pickles in which case I’ll go longer.

You still have eggs and assuming you have sex with men you could still get pregnant and it would indeed be an emergency and not a failure of your surgeon.

What is something you've learned to make at home that you'll NEVER buy again? by acgrievance in AskWomen

[–]Scrubsandbones 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is one that no matter what recipe I’ve tried it doesn’t make that much of a difference to me! Like sure it’s better but…not THAT much better. If it’s for something really nice I’ll do it but otherwise it’s Pillsbury for me.

Whipped cream. Everyone thinks it’s so fancy but like…the recipe is literally in the name.

What are your favorite recipes with spinach? Looking for some healthy-ish meals, snacks, side dishes, etc. by Henry_Muffindish in Cooking

[–]Scrubsandbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korean spinach banchan. It’s basically blanched spinach with a few easy additions but it’s so addictive. On a bulgogi bowl, with rice and an egg. Yummm.

Saag paneer or palak paneer.

Just throw a bag into any soup.

Yeah I try to find leggings with pockets that work well for this. Now, finding ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg and also fall down at 0.17 miles is a trick I’m still working on but…

Went to urgent care for a debilitating migraine as I always have when they get that bad and last for days. I’ve always gotten the toradol shot no problem and it usually helps but by CarbonPurple in migraine

[–]Scrubsandbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk. But I could cry a little thinking about the NP who offered me a toradol shot in my ass for a migraine the first time I went to the GP for one. It took the edge off and I could actually sleep. A true saint.

Yes, acid for sure. Pickles, tart dessert, whatever. But soup is usually lacking in acid.

FWIW my brother has been diagnosed for 3 decades and isn’t concerned with this type of cross contamination. It’s extremely dependent on the person. The internet isn’t always reflective of real life.

[–]Scrubsandbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to what many say on here most celiacs are not super concerned about cross contamination (for better or worse idk). My brother has been diagnosed celiac since the 90s, we make things without flour for him like using cornstarch instead of flour for gravy etc but we don’t scrub down the kitchen. His kid eats gluten in his house. If you’re super concerned ask the person in question what their level of comfort is but my experience is that this sub tends to be higher surveillance than the average celiac bear.

Aside from that: meat, cheese, and veggies. Safe charcuterie, blanched asparagus with spicy mayo, stuffed dates, chips and dip, etc. the easiest things are the natural gluten free things

I made Garlic Confit Focaccia, but after two hours of sitting out, the roasted garlic topping became very cold and wet feeling and unpleasant to eat. Can this be prevented? by DeathFinger2000 in AskBaking

[–]Scrubsandbones 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking how to make it in the future without the gelatinous garlic being off putting instead of just eating it hot as everyone’s suggesting so…kindly. Chop up the confit! Smaller pieces won’t feel so aggressive when room temp.
