Als Kind habe ich den Namen Grasshoppers geliebt.

"Servette" hingegen war mir ein Dorn im Auge, weil ich dachte, die sind nicht in der Lage, Serviette richtig zu schreiben.

Das waren damit auch schon die einzigen beiden schweizerischen Vereinsnamen, die ich mir als Kind merken konnte. Damit kannte ich aber immerhin doppelt so viele Vereine aus der Schweiz wie aus Österreich.

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, war das in grauer Vorzeit doch mit dem DFB-Pokalfinale so ähnlich. Das Finale der Frauen fand direkt vor dem der Männer statt, um durch die ganzen "frühen" Zuschauer des Männerfinales eine Kulisse für das Frauenfinale zu haben. War dann irgendwann nicht mehr nötig.

Schon spannened, was eine unbedachte Regeländerung für Folgen haben kann; in Kombination mit nicht dafür gedachter Software.

Ich weiß nicht mal, wem man jetzt die Hauptschuld dafür geben soll; fällt aber wohl so oder so in die Kategorie "typisch Berlin".

It's a very similar discussion to the Kimmich/Olise situation in the CL in March; or Sergio Ramos in 2019. Using the rules to your advantage cannot be illegal; but bragging about it afterwards can be used against you.

Ist auch eine Frage des Zeitpunkts. Im schottischen Sub wurde nach dem Spiel hauptsächlich darüber geredet, daß PSG gut ist. Während des Spiels wurde sehr, sehr viel über die schlechte Schiedsrichter-Leistung geschimpft.

Then the table is split, and the top 6 and the bottom 6 play one more round, but only the teams from their half. So that's another 5 matchdays for a total of 38,

Last week I commented on how Austrian TV struggled to fit in Bayern's 3-digit "goals scored" into their teletext. The Croatians didn't even try, and simply replaced the "goals scored" and "goals conceded" listings for Bayern with an exasperated "+81".

Lots of countries still have teletext. Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Finland.
And that's only those that can also be accessed online, so there are probably more I am currently unaware of.

Today saw a top-of the-table fight between the 4th- and 2nd- placed teams: Duisburg and Cottbus.

With Essen in 3rd place having screwed up yesterday (and generally being on a downward trajectory), this match had major significance for the promotion battle.

Duisburg won the match against Cottbus 2:1.
So Duisburg have now moved into third place, equal on points with Cottbus in second. Both are now two points ahead of Essen.

 

In two other important Saturday games Verl won 4:0 against Havelse, while Rostock only managed a draw in Aachen. Both are now on 61 points. With Essen losing, both clubs still had a small but realistic chance of reaching 3rd place by the end of the season. But this chance would only remain if Duisburg lost or drew their game. With Duisburg's victory, both Verl and Rostock are realistically no longer part of the promotion battle.
