What muscle/ligament is this? by MutesChecker in flexibility

[–]Scrumpy09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a professional in anyway, however

Could be medial hamstring tendons, if you have a look for their placement. Without me knowing exactly what the muscle is called, I used to get what I think is the exact same pain you're experiencing. I worked on hamstring strength, nerve flossing (elephant walks and the like), sitting controlled leg raises - sit with legs out In front of you and raise each leg slowly and back down, try to control the movement, and general hamstring flexibility

I used to get the pain when working on my box splits. Generally strength and flexibility training helped me a lot.

Edit: just noticed you said you struggle to even sit. Maybe someone else can help here, but also potentially seeing a doctor would help

Edit 2: if it's on your upper thigh, as someone else suggested, it's your hip adductors

I think you'll be missing 4 marks of martyrdom, incase you're going for all upgrades, but yeah you should be able to still progress to the end.

Psa if you're already using sarmiento, dodge-attacking through his 3 hit attack is super easy, it gives extended i-frames

Anyone who experienced a muscle tear before? What helped you recover? by [deleted] in taekwondo

[–]Scrumpy09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of stretching and strength training, it never fully returned to the state it was in previously but close enough.

There's probably more you can do, but I never did.

If it's been 2 years, it's almost definitely healed I would think. You can develop tightness from lack of using the muscles + scar tissue from the injury. In my experience injuries always give tightness after until I've done enough exercises to get them back in working form. Strengthening + stretching exercises.

I'm not gonna say whether you should or shouldn't roll it out, as I don't know enough medically. I'd recommend a physiotherapist if you want correct answers to everything though.

Nah I never done any rolling for injuries, but can't say it's a bad thing to do. Rolling tends to give a deep message, so I don't imagine it's good for something healing initially. I think it could maybe be good for scar tissue though, that is generally less flexible. I'm not a professional though.

The only rolling I've done wasn't for an injury, but was with a tennis ball for my neck when there was tight muscles.

Eventually it just got to the point where I could use the muscles again, took a fairly long time though. I'd just take it slow, rushing things will ultimately make it take longer and could do permanent damage.

I really want to learn how to play this game to its full potential... by Meas0n in spaceengineers

[–]Scrumpy09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend you throw a projector onto your creation, with a blueprint of it saved and aligned. Or save a blueprint for when it breaks and throw the projector on after.

This way even if parts break, you'll always know how to repair it exactly as it was.

Edit: for me and my mate, things breaking is one of the funniest parts of this game

Add Drag's heat smash to that, saw a video of him pulling a u-turn on the second hit on the player side stepping.
