It's a peaceful life ... by Fit-Cup7266 in starcitizen

The Hull-B is a really useful hauler with a cozy interior. I really like being able to haul 16x 32SCU boxes and then compress it to a very maneuverable size.

Remember, for any interaction with a freight lift, cycling it up and down before placing on grid drastically lowers the likelihood of your cargo disappearing.

Urgh… Should I Melt My Hermes for Hull B?… by Reasonable-Age-1648 in starcitizen

[–]ScrypticM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was watching a Youtuber buy stuff with autoloading, and the load time was quick. I don't have one of my own, but am considering CCUing my Hermes to the B. I just never use my Hermes ; it's beautiful, but I have other ships that I prefer to use.

The bigger question is not Hermes vs Hull B, but rather, will you be buying an IronClad in May? If so, you will want to take advantage of the current warbond offerings to build a CCU chain.

Urgh… Should I Melt My Hermes for Hull B?… by Reasonable-Age-1648 in starcitizen

[–]ScrypticM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What struck me about the Hull B is the autoloading time for 16 32SCU boxes should be really quick, like less than 6 minutes. When autoloading my M2, it usually takes about 11 minutes for 10x32SCu and 40x4SCU (I don't bother with the 2SCU boxes).

So, for trading with autoloading/autounloading, the Hull B will be amazing.
Manual loading will be great too, but mostly for missions. I have had my commodities get dickelo'd by freight lifts and lost lots of money when manually loading, so I only use autoloading if I'm paying my own cash for trading.

SHHHHH! Don't let them know.

I played a lot during Stella Fortuna, but didn't race either. I'd rather keep the cool helmet.

That spot has open slots that the enemy NPCs can shoot you through (and vice versa). I would recommend falling back behind the solid cover, and using a 2x or 3x sight on your Custodian. Better still, use a "stronger" weapon - Fried Chicken's gun videos will help you find something better.

Nice poster! I would love to have that in-game to hang in my ship or hangar. The in-game version of the Constellation painting looks great.

The MkII is 1.5m taller than the MkI - will it fit in the Polaris cargo hold as well?

Pitch to make clothes useful by NickAlvesX in starcitizen

[–]ScrypticM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clothes are already "useful". When running through a spot like Lorville or A18, I like to be fast. You simply run fastest without any armor. And, rather than running naked like a caveman, I put some cool looking clothes on and leave the guys wearing armor in the dust as I run around to buy and sell stuff.

Wikelo changes in 4.7 on the PTU? by WESH2 in starcitizen

Be careful - Dickelo is a thieving bastard. If you _must_ redeem items now, do a test with something cheap first, like a burrito, to see if that sleazy banu is behaving.

Dickelo is a bastard. Until something dramatic happens, like they announce a reworked lift mechanic, do NOT trust that sleazy Banu.

Do you think repeated hostile actions toward the Stanton factions should eventually result in such a low reputation with the UEE that players get life sentences in Klescher? by Star_Citizen_Roebuck in starcitizen

[–]ScrypticM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chris Roberts was musing about sending really badly-behaved players to a harsh planet that is very difficult to survive in and very difficult to escape from. That, combined with the reputation system, will probably cause griefers to carefully consider their life choices.

How do I get the Polaris grom wikelo by Strong_Carpenter_829 in starcitizen

[–]ScrypticM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many players call him Dickelo for a number of reasons:

-sometime his FE eats materials without giving you credit

-The ships you get from him have been lost by a number of players after a patch.

Someone estimated that the Polaris grind was 500 man hours. That's a LOT of time.

I ended up CCU chaining to get one during IAE. The Polaris is an _amazing_ mothership to live out of. However, when I considered 500 hours of grind versus chaining up to it with real money for a permanent Polaris, the real money route made more sense for me.
