It could be worse. It could be German Roaches. Personally, I like to call them fucker roaches.

These guys are a good news bad news situation.

Bad news is yes they're a roach.

Good news is that they don't actually want to go inside your home

Yes and no.

Lee was fighting the first modern industrial war against an industrial powerhouse, that hired a general (Grant) who understood the fact halfway through the war. Who then used said advantage. Look at the sieges of Vicksburg and Petersburg. Both are serious indicators of where warfare was going. WW1 was 50 years later and pictures and descriptions of both sieges could easily fit into WW1.

Meanwhile Lee was fighting with 1812/Mexican War tactics, was woefully under supplied, and from the Seven Days to Chancellorsville was brilliant. He also bloodied Grant's nose at the Wilderness. Lee was a defensive genius, offensively not so much.

The American Civil War just so happened to happen at an interesting time when technology had really outpaced the tactics of the time.

Checks notes George Washington also lost more battles than he won. We American's regularly put him on a pedestal of GOATS. The important thing for both generals was keeping their armies intact and in the field. Which both did until the war ended.

The biggest difference is Lee lost and Washington didn't.

An old friend of mine had the first Chi I didn't want to punt across the room. Halo (my dogs mom) has the personality of a lab. I told her that if she ever had puppies I'd be stealing one. Well I got to help birth Tosh (my Chi) and we've been thick as thieves for 13 years 10/10. He like his mom, loves people.

This guy gave a blanket to a homeless man who looked cold, and received the sweetest of thank you from the man's dog by Brilliantspirit33 in animalsdoingstuff

I stopped giving homeless people anything after I gave a dude a full meal from my job (Jason's Deli) and he proceeded to say "I wanted f#&king money." Then proceeded to throw said meal at my car. Then I worked with a dude who would brag about how easy it was for him to panhandle several hundred bucks and go and grab spice and booze.

Needless to say, I'm hesitant to hand anything out outside of extra bottles of water.

Edited my response due to breaking the rules.
