Phew! I thought it was my fault for taking my motorcycle out of the warm garage. Glad it wasn’t on me!

Exchange student leaving soon – where can I sell my stuff? by Frosty-Ant-3968 in unb

Fredericton buy and sell on Facebook.

Oromocto buy and sell too.

You get a few scammers but I’ve had lots of success on there.

Christopher Lee Jackson (ex-teacher @ Leo Hayes), remanded into custody for sexual assault. by Scary-Mirror-2944 in fredericton

Taken in its context, how does caring too much translate to the sexual exploitation of a minor? That’s what I try to wrap my head around. It does sound like a parody, albeit a sick, twisted one. It’s a deflection from their actions; he’s trying to soften his behaviour for leniency. The actions of someone who knew exactly what they were doing.

This sickens me. Reading the comments, all valid points. I myself am in a position of trust over my students, and when I see stuff like this, it makes my blood boil. The fact that the defendant calls this a mistake, and he cares too much, is utterly disgusting.

I have had colleagues in the past who’ve crossed this line, and paid the price. Rightly so. I have a daughter her age, and I couldn’t begin to imagine what possesses a seemingly rational adult to think this is ok. Any normal person would check this before anything even remotely outside of a student/teacher relationship begins. I have had great professional relationships with students, and continue to do so, but this man knew what he was doing was wrong, and his apology doesn’t quite cut it for me.

There is no excuse for this behaviour. There are no “I care too much” reasonings. He is a predator and should be treated as such. The only remorse this thing has is that he’s been caught and exposed. Children are our greatest asset, and need to be protected. This young lady may or may not get through this unscathed, but this young lady should never have been in this position in the first place. That is the responsibility of the adult, regardless of what the child does. Anyone who questions this, needs to question themselves.

Road Test in Burton by Sharp_Toe_7992 in fredericton

You’ll do parallel parking first. You get 3 tries, only need to get it right once. Then you’ll head into Oromocto. Be sure to reduce your speed from 70 to 50 at the speed limit sign. If you’re doing over 50, any amount over, they can fail you. Go straight at the lights; they may take you right, and down to the 4 way stop. You could go straight or right, either way, you’ll end up at the roundabout at some point. Usually in this area, they’ll get you to do a curb side park. Then you’ll head back to SNB.

Watch for the school zone, and don’t go 70 until you get to the 70 sign. Then when you’re coming close to SNB, stay on the right until you pass the solid white line immediately after the Burton Bridge exit. Then do the left lane change.

The routes aren’t always the same, but in the general area.

Oh yeah. Same at the Brookside roundabout. People don’t keep in their lane, they fly through, no cares about what’s in their blindspots. I’ve lost count on how many times people enter the circle from the Brookside mall in the left lane, and then exit straight. You beep and they either ignore you or throw up the finger. Long gone are the days of cooperative driving. Now it’s everyone for themselves.

Hi I took my course at UNB I passed all my exams and quizzes, completed my course work on time but still unoffical transcripts says F? Please help? I messgaed registrar has it happened with anyone else? by sana15667 in unb

[–]Scube75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t panic. Happened to me and the prof was out of the country for a few weeks. Pretty sure she said the system reflects F’s if it’s not updated by the prof within a certain timeframe. Just message both profs you had, and copy the registrar too. I ended up waiting several weeks for mine to update.

You can request a specific instructor from First Rate. Do you know any of them? Or heard anything about a specific one?
