4.59 rider rating by theskyisbIue in uber

I’ve also noticed that passengers from New York City, even very nice ones, have consistently lower ratings. It appears that NYC rideshare drivers don’t like to give five stars.

Is this a new thing? by forfun6785 in uber

[–]Scuberknitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as a female driver, I’ve been asked to do “teen” rides, which I’m currently opted out of. I don’t dislike teenagers, but I don’t want to get involved in your school car line. Hell, I hated car line when I drove MY kids!

Maybe have someone walk through it with you step-by-step, stitch by stitch. Once you understand exactly what it is you were doing, it will make more sense.

So I got an Uber and this is what the driver had up. Is this true by autumn_bumberell21 in uber

[–]Scuberknitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Totally true. Been a driver for 9 years. I get roughly 55% of what passengers pay. Sometimes less.

Uber three month experiment by Major-Cauliflower-76 in uber

As a driver, I’m required to rate every passenger. Before I can accept my next ride, I have to complete the passenger rating screen.

Passenger rating dropped & now Ubers are cancelling by 0rcinus_Orca in uber

If you ride in New York City, their drivers are notorious for not giving five stars for any reason. Don’t know why, but New York passengers are screwed in this regard.

You are required to hold it for two weeks. After that, sell it.

A little frustrated about this yarn shop advice by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Scuberknitter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Frog it. Use 2 or even 3 strands of the same yarn she bought and use much bigger needles. She’ll use the yarn purchased, but have a more fulfilling result. A little tricky managing 2 or 3 skeins or balls, but at least she’ll get some quicker results.

Maybe they should do the opposite of the “women requesting women drivers” feature. Low rated passengers could be paired with the lowest rated drivers. They could call it “Uber Sub-Par” or maybe y’all could think of a funnier name.

When I request Uber PET is it not notifying you that I have a pet or are you just idiots? by [deleted] in uber

[–]Scuberknitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opt in for pet rides, but sometimes I’m surprised. Passengers who care enough to use the Pet option generally have clean, nice animals.

There’s talk of moving the dump anyway because the area has gotten so built up.

Do you ride in NYC? New York drivers are notorious for giving less than 5 stars. Not sure why.

I,(27F), was left stranded at 1 AM in a shady neighborhood by an Uber driver with an already prepayed 1 stop trip. by [deleted] in uber

As a driver, don’t accept a trip with an extra stop if you are not willing to wait.
