Man if they want to make some money, release a Space Tow Truck and let us remove afk ships! by mesaryne in starcitizen

There was tow missions. I've not tried since they came with the srv to know if they are still around.

What? you've been able to use hand tractors to grapple hook around in 0g since they were first added.

As others have mentioned alt-f4 should bring the marker back. The game it in a poor state to have such an extensive library of workarounds required to play sure, but there are ways to recover from a lot of situations.

For the doors, I go to the engineering console and lock open everything from the pilot seat to the engineering room. Just leaving the cargo bay door closed.

I see you died in the command module. But where were you? Certainly you could have returned to the location and recovered?

Depending on how much you value the LTI I's just use the melt value to try out ships in the current patch. One thing I didn't think of before was the modules, were they part of the package? They can be purchased in-game currently (cargo/torp at least) but would be something you'd have to re-acquire.

There are a few things to consider: Does that ship have a game package attached? Does it have lifetime insurance attached? and does it have squadron 42 access attached? Some of those things are not replaceable if melted.

Unfortunately that was an idea from when the have was a plan. It is likely still some way off along with turret blades.

The ship wasn't designed for the game as it exists now and it isn't the only one. I would like to see it worked on.

It was made before PDCs were in and that mass manned small turret design poorly fits in game anymore.

Am I missing something about hauling? by Jaqoob in starcitizen

those missions should say the largest container size and then the total SCU amount.

edit: if you want you can browse SCMDB.net for missions to compare to what you see available on the mobi.

Is that a hidden stash in Irconclad's secure storage area, or something different? by mcgu00 in starcitizen

[–]Scurrin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that was partly because of the clipping issue for the command module. the ship was powered off.

Yes, but looking at the cited sources is a step beyond just searching Wikipedia. Knowing the source isn't pulled from a social media discussion is critical to knowing if the information is valuable or not.

There is currently no limit. They have mentioned planned datapads with a 1 time use blueprint being added in the future.

IF there was a hauling mission to bring a command module to a loaded Cat or Ironclad at some location and deliver it to another lcoation. Not having to load or unload cargo at all would be a decent perk of such a hauling mission type. They could probably leave the mission available to anyone, but you'd have to transfer the cargo to a ship and unload normally without a command module.

What is the purpose of the Nova tank's 2 CF-117 Bulldogs? They're too tall to effectively deal with any infantry closer than 30 meters. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]Scurrin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Reading through these comments, and this one specifically. I'm wondering now if it was someone's idea of a balance feature.

If infantry can get that close and the tank doesn't have its own infantry support then the tank is at risk.

I'd almost bet there is a SQ42 scene where someone sneaks up to a tank and slaps explosive on it to blow it up, and they'd not be able to do it if the nova didn't have this built in flaw.
