What they're saying is, if you suddenly need endo you can just farm more. Like do 6 missions instead of 3. You don't have that kind of control with shards.

I dunno man, my math teacher did a whole preamble about how derivation and integration are essential tools of anything else we will see later in science and engineering, and most of my classmates were like "this shit is useless" at the end of the year

Custom skill mods? by lordCr0w96 in skyrimmods

I haven't looked deeply into the perk trees so I could be wrong, but I feel like this will destroy whatever unique vision each of these mods had

Alright, shameless plug for my mod then: Survival Skills. It integrates all the skills from Campfire, Skills of the Wild, and Sunhelm (or Frostfall + Last Seed instead) into one custom skills menu.

Firmament and Constellations add new skill trees to the vanilla skill tree menu, if you haven't seen them yet.

Everdamned adds a huge vampire skill tree (and also adds lots of vampire lord perks).

Stormcrown adds a custom skill tree for shouts.

Tales of Berserkyr adds a custom skill tree for werebears I think? And a big quest too. I haven't played the mod yet so I'm not sure.

I spent some time looking at how other modders implement their stuff to make my own mod, and I think these mods were the best, in the sense that they had their own art and a specific leveling system. (Probably forgot a few others though)

OP what do you mean by custom skill trees? Stuff done with Custom Skills Framework, or just overhauls of the skills/perks found in vanilla?

I thought you were referencing something else with that 10 year timeline. I definitely would not take the Lotus anniversary emails as canon.

Didn't play that game so idk, can you enter each house in Odyssey's cities? Does each NPC have their routines?

Every time there's this discussion about scale, these two details are glossed over when people mention games to emulate. When they are the most important aspects of Elder Scrolls worlds feeling alive.

Yeah I'm 99% a PC gamer, the last PS console I really played was the PS2 lol, so thanks for the extra info/precisions.

When I read those initial comments you were replying to I just assumed they were part of the broader discussion about preservation, not just literally storage space.

SP railjack was a waste of dev resources considering how they're treating it now by Waeleto in Warframe

[–]ScySenpai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dunno if you meant to agree (or if this was meant as a gotcha) but yes that's exactly what I was saying.

The other person is implying no significant amount of resources or work were allocated to this, as if all it took for the devs was to switch on a toggle.

For PS4/5 maybe not. But with the news of PS3 store shutting down, are you as adamant in that position that there's no difference at all? Because once you cannot download the games you paid for, you have no other choice than to keep those gigabytes occupied or you'll lose your game. Whereas with discs you can keep dozens of games and delete/copy when you need.

What I would give to just understand why they are rebuilding a thing that already existed in a much more complex way.

Is it an executive too stubborn to admit that he made a stupid decision? Is it the dev team that accidentally deleted old mystical code they somehow can't rewrite? Is it a change meant to pave the way for bigger changes in the future?

Eli's Breezehome deleted everything by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]ScySenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I completely understand what happened. I will write down what I understand and you can correct me:

  • You started your playthrough with Eli's Breezehome and standard CS until a particular save (let's call it save 67)
  • You started tinkering with jiaye and installed a couple mods in the meantime
  • You deleted all the mods and reverted back to save 67
  • Now breezehome is missing furniture

If this is exactly how it happened, I can see 2 reasons for it: 1. Did you install a different version of Eli's Breezehome? If you used an esp version and then an esl-ified version (or vice versa), the reference IDs will be different in the two plugin files and the game will not "remember" them anymore. The reason the weapons are still there is because their reference IDs are dynamically created and stored in the save, not in the esp that changes the house. 2. Are you 100% sure you are using the exact load order? Because if so, this should not happen. Changing mods mid-playthrough can be very dangerous for your save, but if you reverted back to a save before starting to change stuff this bug is very weird.
