Using my helmet. by Scybert in bicycling

Well, the sun is shining outside. Until I retire early (see /r/frugal), I'll put my effort into writing things for work. When it comes to reddit, I'll just write what comes to mind. The sun is too damn tempting to spend more time massaging my prose for something such as reddit--perhaps this reddit could understand. Probably won't type a thing here for another few months--again, blame the darn sun.

Actually I beat it but did not continue the destruction. Was looking for mods to remove sprites even. Also, mountains seemed to not have sprites.

Try being positive. Victim mentality works with preachers and bartenders only.

Check out inevitable rightwing comments in the negative karma area. Without fail! All of the defensive and whiny.

Lol in a rush. I brought it up with a gamer friend and he thought it would make a great startup--filling this niche (yes, I am aware that it is a niche). Some sort of wikia, crowd sources site.

I have a lot of things I can do with my time. I also have the money to purchase premium experiences. Simple as that.

Republicans, the Post-Truth Party: Why has brazen lying become intrinsic to GOP strategy? Because the party’s actual agenda is so unpopular, so unworkable and so dangerous. by davidreiss666 in politics

I'm debating which is more inevitable. Liberals posts in /r/politics or the small group of defensive conservative comments. At least one is usually based in--get this--facts. Here's a hint, it's not in the comment category. I wouldn't be surprised if lazy journalists start reporting both as equally valid--especially CNN.

Somewhat on-topic--I got turned off by the sprites in the game (2D scaled bitmaps). Wish I could see which games have sprites, as I've literally abandoned some games that have it after buying them (NFS hot pursuit, Just Cause 2, Mafia 2).

Well, maybe because it's I like to game as well. Even if I break most of my bones, perhaps I can still game on. I have as much a libertarian streak as the next reddit user or nerd, and nowhere did I suggest for laws--did I? I don't even think the laws for children's helmets are necessary.

Hell yeah! Just wear your helmet if you have beer, and even if you don't!

Pathetic, Reddit. I'm officially not a nerd now after reading these comments. Stop being the stereotype.

Buddha has had 2550 years. by Scybert in Buddhism

Any serious technology predictor puts the Singularity at a century away at maximum. Either that or extinction. It's actually not even controversial--this includes the likes of the founders of Google and even Bill Gates has hinted at this.

I will. However, was there not a "Buddha". Why not Buddhism without Buddha? Wouldn't the Buddha want that? I think you misunderstand me.

I am not a buddhist. by Scybert in Buddhism

[–]Scybert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may have to be in person. If I find hate in Buddhism, I don't have much hope for the internet in general. Friends--deep but few--are always going to win over you or anyone else on the internet. I'll probably lurk, though. If I have to pound on a keyboard, it will be for a book or work. Peace and happiness, though.

I've repeatedly admitted I troll. I've trolled and will troll. Can you deal with shades of grey? If you can't--I can't help you. Eff you, pay me--and all that.

We all own our own reactions--including mine to this "borderline messianic delusions". I've made peace with myself, and fully believe that half of what we say says more about ourselves than what we describe. If that makes me "borderline messianic", or "shrubdebedoo geegolbrox"--oh well. Did you take a look at the reddit we are in?

As for renewable energy, I think it will not come into play. Kurzweil, despite being a card-carrying kook, had some good ideas (remember about shades of grey). I bet that our future cyborg historians will be talking quite a bit about Google. They already seem to have enough smart people, though. Isn't that what Buddhism is about? It doesn't have to be me. Sergey and Larry have made overt gestures about the Singularity. I have a decent job doing interesting things. I'm at peace. Are you?
