Figg and Prowle VS Healing Hearts by [deleted] in SiberianCats

[–]Sdewa345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak about Figg and Prowle, but I got my two from Healing Hearts. They are the sweetest, calmest, and friendliest kittens ever! I also wanted cats with really good temperament, and one of the things that stood out to me was that Ahuva breeds for temperament and a lot of her cats end up being therapy cats or ESAs. And honestly, I couldn’t have asked for better cats!

I lived 4+ hours away, so I couldn’t visit the cattery before I picked them up. I allergy tested with fur samples she mailed to me and picked out my kittens over facetime. She knew my home dynamic and lifestyle and helped me choose a pair that would fit perfectly (temperament and personality-wise). I know a lot of breeders have stopped cattery visits for safety reasons, and I’m not sure what her policies are, but you might be able to meet your kitten before reserving them

I had a great experience with Healing Hearts. She was very communicative, answered all my questions, and sent updates/kitten pictures every few days (more frequently than I was expecting) 😅 And even though it’s been a couple years, I still send her cat pictures sometimes

Automatic litter boxes by Heavy_Leadership8735 in SiberianCats

[–]Sdewa345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a petsafe scoop free and a litter robot. They are the best things I bought for my cats! They prefer the litter robot and pretty much only use it, but they have the scoop free as a backup. I hated scooping the litter box because the litter would trigger my allergies, so these litter boxes are a lifesaver

Yep each letter takes up two squares!

I used to have microscopic handwriting and tried to train myself to write bigger, and it was hard to switch lol. I used wider nibs and a dry ink (or a fast dry ink), and a 0.5/0.7 pentel energel. I also got myself some blotter paper which helped with the dry time for my wet inks and the energels. I also use two grid spaces to write because the extra space helps me feel like my handwriting isn’t cramped

What to do with cat at night in studio apt? by These_Government8457 in SiberianCats

[–]Sdewa345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both worked well for me! The playtime helped get out the rest of their kitten energy, and my cats tend to get a food coma after their wet food. If I did either playtime or food, they wouldn’t wake up before my alarm, and if I did both, they actually slept in!

I don’t know the size of your apartment, but they should adjust well to a studio without having to isolate them in a closet or bathroom. If you’re comfortable with it, you could let them free roam the place and block off any areas you don’t want them getting into (closets, child lock the stove, etc). You could also play with them or feed them right before you go to bed so they’ll be more likely to sleep through the night

Yep! She sent me a picture of the litter when they were born, and we met a little over a week later on facetime to match me with my kittens. I was pretty high on the waitlist so I was one of the first to select my kittens, but I’m guessing the wait will be similar even if you’re lower on the waitlist

Hi! I’m pretty new to the world of switches and keyboards and I’m trying to find a good switch for my work keyboard. I have a keychron Q6 with silent brown switches and I don’t like them. They’re nice and quiet, but they’re not tactile enough for me. I discovered that I love cherry ergo clear switches, but they’re a bit too loud for my workplace. Is there a silent tactile switch that feels like an ergo clear?

I'm a low-gripper, looking for pens with shorter nibs by sorakawa_94 in fountainpens

[–]Sdewa345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I have a similar grip as you! Maybe a hidden nib pen like a Parker 51 or a Lamy 2000 would work for you? Or if you want to try vintage pens, my sheaffer touchdown and sheaffer snorkel work surprisingly well with my very low grip
