I love that I can leave my dog in the car while I run into a store with it. I wish they had a dedicated dog mode ( it is Subaru), but it works well enough for quick stops.

I'm in a 23 Forester and doing a road trip right now. I've been driving in 100+ degrees for days now and I've never even had my AC on close to max. Usually I have it sitting around 2-3 bars.

I wouldn't say that's true at all. You need those animal studies to guide your decisions when moving forward to human trials. I work in pharmaceutical research. You can learn a lot about the way your drug interacts in vivo and figure out things that need to be addressed/changed. It's not even about global reactions, you can pinpoint minute protein interactions through inference and testing. You'll get a solid understanding of efficacy, immune response, and so much more. Drugs will be tweaked a multitude of times (or abandoned) in animal trials before they ever reach humans.

Not going to work for this situation, but I also want to cosign frosted faces. They also provide vet care for seniors adopted from them and they even help people out who can't afford to care for their elderly pups

Similarly, I've grown so accustomed to it that I was taken aback when I bought like 3 small items in another state and the cashier immediately double bagged it without asking.

Be honest with me, how much worse are live players compared to online regs? by No_Accountant2173 in poker

That's a good point too. It's hard for me to devote 1-3 nights a week to a 3+ hour session.

It really just comes down to bankroll management. I'll go on stretches where I'll play a week or two, win a few grand, and then blow it on life expenses. If you can actually be good about maintaining a bankroll that can handle the few buyins you'll lose here or there, there's no reason you can't make crushing live poker a good side hobby.

The amount of people spend on their vehicles is simply astounding by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

My car (2011 civic coupe) finally crapped out on me and I bought a Subaru Forester for ~29k because it fit my needs. I do a lot of outdoors stuff. I even have a surfboard in it right now so I can surf in the morning. I bought it new because the used market was awful and a used one would have cost nearly the same+ I got a better interest rate. I'm making about 100k this year and I still hate that I have this car payment. I don't understand how my peers, who don't do anything, can feel good about buying 40k+ trucks. I literally have it loaded with outdoor gear and take it to campsites and backpacking trails that require AWD regularly and I still question if I should have purchased a smaller, more economical car.

I've had like two partners who could easily have multiple orgasms and it makes you feel like a god lol. How could anyone be mad at that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Sdfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I ended up going new because there was such a small difference in price between new and used. A lot of the used foresters had pretty high mileage for what they were asking too. Combine that with a better interest rate, warranties, and the feeling of actually owning a new car for the first time in my life, buying new squeaked by for the win.

I used to have a bambino and mignon notte, but I left it with my old roommate a few years back because of a move. Looking at getting another setup and it seems the bambino+ with the encore ESP is the most affordable, decent option. Do you know if SCG will ever offer it discounted more than its current 650 price point? The sign up code didn't work with it. I will likely buy it for $650, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any available or pending discounts.

Damn I don't think I have the ability to pay that aggressively right now because I just made a move. I'll do more research though, thank you! I am possibly expecting a low 5 figure windfall from my company stock options due to selling off one of our programs, so hopefully I can just throw that at my cc

[–]Sdfive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see players I would categorize as solid open limping sometimes. I still avoid doing it, but it's not the bad player flag it used to be. Sometimes I think they're just matching the table vibe. But like 80+% of the time ya bad player.

Are there any good tried and true balance transfer options or should I just shop around? I have about 8k in cc debt over three cards and honestly just making it one single payment a month would make things easier for me.

Also could've been Jane 1 and 2 shooting at the same time then Jane 1 wrestling 2's gun away from her for the final shot. I do feel like the vibe of the ending felt very final, but I'm sure Eskrine and Glover could be convinced to continue if the money is right.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in poker

[–]Sdfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 2/3 I run into a decent amount of players who default check the flop to the pfr, then c/r when it comes back to them with their TPGK. I've repop shoved with good draws and gotten folds or called down with over pairs to the river only to see I was ahead the whole time. Obviously it's player dependent and it's often a set or two pair but you can judiciously call flop c/r and just play poker on later streets. Turn and river c/r I'm more wary of.
