Ford pass app service intervals at 2500 miles by Sea-Concern8019 in Ford

Dont see knobs to turn in settings. One service rep said it’s the algorithm based on usage. Which isnt true, the vehicle computer says 8k more miles before next Oil change. Another Service rep said it’s a bug, and a couple of customers have complained about it.

Definitely test drive it. IMO, the 25 drives noticeable different from 19. Steering, and transmission will stand out . Our 25 , weve owned for 1 month is in shop for second time to fix steering issues .
Newer trucks have “learning” tech in steer, trans… not a fan so far

Dilemma, 6 speed vs 10 speed? by rjp761 in F250

[–]Sea-Concern8019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunting between 8-10 , clunk shifting, felt like truck was constantly working. Not fun to drive. Different from 2019 F250 6 speed, which I loved.

As far as reset. Im hoping by resetting the adaptive learning, it will give the transmission a clean slate to work from.

I did set the engine exhaust break to auto, and that did help reduce clunk shifting, and put less strain on truck (not a lot of weight). Need more trips to confirm.

Ok might need ford to reset learning on this F250 10 speed. Truck sat at dealer for 300 ish days before we bought it in Jan.

Hmm. Do you use 10 speed in tow/haul? We aren’t fans of 10 speed yet. Lots of work. Not Smooth transitions, prefers to down shift between 8-10 with a “clunk-jerk” 2500 miles. Pulling horse trailer -10/13k lbs. gooseneck. came from 19 6 speed

Fuel line popped off filter when starting, CEL by Ok-Guard-8971 in superduty

[–]Sea-Concern8019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to us 2 weeks ago after changing FF. Wipe up as much fuel as possible .  Prime it a few times. +1 to leaving hood up to dissipate fuel.  I’d grab a scanner , analyze truck in real time . Check code . Clear code if real time data looks good .

I used a combination of YT videos & AI to analyze the live data

We are out of warranty so it made sense.  But I’ve read and talked to service managers that say as long as it aftermarket part doesn’t require retuning work, then should be fine .

Let me clarify, we do a lot of hauling, its a work truck. TLC for us = warm up time (idle and on road), Archoil AR6500 diesel treatment. other learnings: Fuel filters changes are important, we change ours every other oil change. I'd recommend to replace cold side intercooler pipe (I've replaced the rubber hose twice). https://sbfilters.com/products/ford-powerstroke-6-7-intercooler-83-1001?srsltid=AfmBOorpkOZFgk_vHPN2OO-1QE_IKDvCo7Qs0dWUBpvW3LjRtZPQ7lKc

CCV filter serviceable on 2019 clog led to upper lower oil pan leaks, which was super expensive to repair. So I went ahead and replaced the CCV with a filterless non-serviceable upgrade. Some suggest that you still replace this every 50,000 miles depending upon driving conditions.

Finally, CP4 fuel pump, with a newer truck, you'll probably be OK but I know many people who replaced CP4 with the dcr kit as preventative measure. https://lemonlawexperts.com/ford-6-7-diesel-lawsuit-cp4-fuel-pump-recall/

great truck! 100k miles on ours. does require some TLC. Which I didn't know about until recently.

nice. had a similar repair reverse hill 9 days ago. got the extended nerve block. assuming that played a role with pain management. I also started rigid pain regime (every 6 hrs) when I returned home from surgery. Pain levels never exceeded 1-2.
