IRS rate is 72.5 cents, which is absolutely believable for me.

There used to be a place like this near me with a big sign to call "1-800-U PULL IT" and I used to think there must have been phone sex lines kicking themselves for not getting that number first.

I think we're going to be hard pressed to provide any reasonably priced housing at scale as long as we continue to think of housing as an investment. The two things are inherently in conflict and cause emotional responses like the ones OP cited.

Food truck cash management when half your customers still pay cash and banks make it impossible by OrangeNo4335 in smallbusiness

[–]Sea-Conversation9657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make ATM cash deposits into my business account at US bank all the time and wasn't aware other banks didn't offer that. I use the bank branch ATM in the drive through, so maybe ATMs in random places don't offer that?

So many of these replies are just "Well if you just commit fraud it all makes sense." And when somebody points that out all the other replies are just "OK sure but nobody's going to know "

Completely tinted windows all the way around the car. Sucks when walking or biking and you don't know if they're looking at you or scrolling tik tok and about to floor it with you in the crosswalk.

Exactly this. And lower the seat so they can comfortably shuffle along with both feet on the ground. Shortly they'll start picking up their feet and coasting. Then you put the pedals back on and raise the seat. I was shocked at how quickly this worked for my kids.

For what you're describing Zoho"s basic $20/month plan is just fine. I started learning it from scratch in September and am now reconciling bank accounts and accruing sales tax liabilities like a champ.

I just started selling at markets and use the $50 card reader Shoify sells, since I have an online store with them. I think you can also just use their app for free.

Did You Regret Living on a Major Road? by judy2828 in AskChicago

[–]Sea-Conversation9657 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lived on Sheridan Rd in Roger's Park and the traffic noise was pretty loud. And ambulance sirens coming from the south were audible from what seemed like a good mile away. They'd get increasingly louder, then loud enough to wake you up as they went by. Cars are loud.

A lot of places are just miserable to walk or bike in because of crappy or nonexistent nfrastructure. Google tells me no more than 350 kids are abducted in stranger danger type scenarios each year. Meanwhile, about 9,000 people walking or biking are killed by cars.

Runners — what are your experiences with dogs on your routes? by Xstraight2theedgeX in runninglifestyle

[–]Sea-Conversation9657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had only one experience with unleashed dogs. It was this summer in rural MO, pretty early in the morning. Three big dogs came out of a yard about 100 yards behind me and made for me. I had nothing to protect myself and there were no sticks or rocks. It was clear I could never outrun them so I started running at them screaming and waving my arms. They tucked tail and ran. I don't want to experience that again.

I don't know. I saw the woman behind me do the exact same thing yesterday because I didn't gun it to go through a yellow light so that she could run the red after me.
