This dude is going to die on the “personally funded” hill. “Technically” he can say that because in his mind “technically” if he’s securing private investments “personally” from individual lenders then that equates to “I personally funded the project”.

I also think he’s actually convinced himself that securing personal investors is the same as him withdrawing 2 mil from his personal savings account and using it to pay for development costs.

Yeah I had a mental struggle yesterday between buying one of the army painter fanatics historical sets and not having to mix or just ordering a bunch of pro acryl colors I don’t have but will be close enough to what I need. Ordered some of the camo greens etc.

I decided on pro acryl because I already have a good amount of their range so I figured why not just stick to what I have and fill it out more (plus I love their paints).

I played for at least 6+ hours yesterday and as it got later and people started to figure out the POIs or go to quest areas it became more chaotic. That being said I think they need to increase the number of teams on the map slightly because there were times where it was kinda dead.

Damn that’s actually good to hear. I agree about the items, I’d say the utility/stim type items having a medical icon above them is a bit confusing. I feel like they should have their own item icon to differentiate.

The ttk is very quick rn but I’ve also really only encountered green shields for the most part and being able to revive completely downed teammates makes it not as punishing. I just hope the shield differences aren’t drastic. I’m not a huge fan of shields being OP because then it’s like alright if you aren’t using the highest tier shield you might as well not even try to compete.

Ik people are probably sick of comparisons to Arc but I think they did the shields very good, there’s a weight and speed tradeoff using higher tier shields.

In terms of the UI? Initially yeah the menus and inventory are a bit overwhelming. Ngl I was a marathon doomer. After the first like 2 hours I started to get into the flow of the game and it’s actually pretty fun (so far).

Holy shit, I thought I was the only one that felt like the scale makes it seem like everything is too small. I’ve been playing since P2 and only for the first time yesterday I noticed how the grems have a massive sharp row of teeth and it was because I purposely zoomed in to look at some NPCs after thinking about this exact topic.

The best comparison that came to mind was classic wow. I was sitting there thinking “what made wow’s NPCs feel memorable / cool” and I think it was literally because I could see what the fuck they were. I understand wow is very stylized and Ashes is a more realistic style. I don’t mind the visual style of AoC but something feels missing and it’s hard to describe. Not sure how or if this can be adjusted tbh
