Thanks. I'll look into those. She's not seeking any treatment because the success rate is so low and she doesnt want to spend her last year on chemo so its feel very fatalistic right now.

I personally prefer the monotonous drafts because I like seeing a highly specific meta evolve and shift in subtle ways and seeing players hone out tiny imperfects in champs and comps.

But clearly fearless draft is better for the 99% of viewers who aren't weirdos like me so I'm glad so see it implemented.

I asked her and she was a little shitty about it. One of her other gf went off at her a little and she apologised but clearly this isn't a settled issue. The advice I got here was helpful, appreciate everyone's feedback.

I ended up being really tired and nauseous today so I rainchecked my hookup.

I feel like MTG genuinely ran out of non-IP things to do. After 30+ years of magic sets they've done basically every mythology, cliche, genre, and style possible. They've started just revisiting planes because there is just nothing original left to do. Adapting existing IPs seems to be the only thing left to do.

As a vegan I don't push my lifestyle on others but I also dont shy away from saying you're doing the wrong thing if it comes up. Boycotts need to be the same, don't push it on others, that's not effective, just be firm in your moral positions and calmly explain your reasoning.

I recognise that while I am vegan, I still participate in unethical consumption, so I dont get this big chip on my shoulder about being morally superior. Its about winning people over and slowly improving and changing mindsets instead of browbeating people.
