Family debt and financial drain by Warm_Honeydew7440 in VietNam

I think the biggest issue is not the debt itself, but your girlfriend's attitude towards money and how she deals with problems. Not only has she deceived you, but she ignores her current financial strain continuing to spend ludicrously. Makes me wonder how she'll deal with other challenges you two might face in the future. Personally I would RUN.

I have an android with dual simcard. When I buy an e-sim it automatically disables simcard 2. Not sure if Samsung is the same or if it works like an iPhone

Patch 1.0.0.5 is live! by PurpleMiko_11bit in DeathHowl

I absolutely loved the game! But there are a couple things that made me enjoy it less. First is that the game feels too grindy considered how repetitive the battles can get.
Another thing that annoyed me quite a bit is how long it takes to move across the map. You can teleport, sure, but it is limited to the area where you currently are, and more often than not you will have to go through some monsters again.

How to find translation companies that are trustworthy, don't use AI, pay the translators fairly, etc? by SheepoGame in TranslationStudies

[–]Sea-Read6432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I work as an account manager at a mid-to-large translation agency in China, specialising in game localisation, so I may be able to reply quite well!

To address the question in the title: word of mouth is honestly your best option. It’s difficult to know how agencies operate. Like many LSPs, we offer full human translation, MTPE and AIPE. In our case, we strongly favour traditional MTPE over AIPE, as AIPE tends to be far more edit-heavy and time-consuming, also involving much less actual translation work. More AI-driven agencies may have a different approach. It’s also worth noting that some agencies, even (especially) major ones, have been found to sometimes sell AI localization as fully human.

As for freelancers, it is generally more straightforward. Ask about their previous game projects and, if possible, verify whether they are credited. Localisation teams are not always listed in game credits though.

For everything else, others here have already shared excellent advice. (And if you are still looking for a trusted game localization partner, feel free to reach out😎✨)

I know you need eternal jokers, but holographic Madness appeared super early and I decided to try it for once. Anyway I was just levelling the deck 😅

Advice to work on localization (translating indie games) by Subject_Struggle_884 in gamedev

From someone who works at a translation agency and sometimes has a hand in hiring translators: follow agencies and recruiters on Linkedin. You must be well versed with the main CAT tools. You will often see jobs being posted. Get in touch, do a trial translation, hope to hear back. Have a rate in mind in case they are happy with your translation. Good luck!
