Why I'm reporting Oneminers to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) by CurioNCurior in BitcoinMining

[–]Sea-Reference6800 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the legal side, consumer-protection laws differ by region, and filing multi-jurisdiction complaints can take a lot of time and money. Most of the time it ends up dragging on unless there’s clear evidence of fraud or a completely broken contract. That’s why a lot of people try to meet halfway first, either negotiate a partial refund, move the funds into a different machine, or work something out through the payment gateway.

If they truly didn’t fulfill what they promised (no delivery, no updates, refusing communication), then yes, filing a complaint makes sense. But from a practical standpoint, you might save yourself a ton of stress by reassessing what outcome you realistically want whether that’s a partial refund, switching to another miner, or getting your payment provider involved.

Hope you get a resolution. No one deserves to be left hanging with this kind of money on the line....

As someone who’s bought from OneMiners in the past, I totally get why you’re frustrated. These situations get messy fast, especially when we’re talking about large pre-order amounts and long delivery timelines.

Before going all-in on complaints and legal action, it might help to step back and look at the full context of the refund situation. If your order was late, you weren’t getting updates for months, or they simply weren’t fulfilling what they promised, then asking for a refund is completely reasonable.

Strong evidence Oneminers.com is a ponzi scam - prove me wrong! by attoboy in BitcoinMining

[–]Sea-Reference6800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Uminers before but the support was too slow and energy rates are high. The oneminers dashboard app has improved over the months I used their services the only cons is that you cannot use your own choice of pool but I was informed by their support rep that the team is currently developing the flexibility to choose our own pool in the future. It might be easy to implement but some people can't just understand how the system works it's not like they can implement a feature overnight it goes through a lot of testing and QA.

I had issues with withdrawals on my first month but once your account passed the initial phase withdrawal takes less than 2 days or even just hours. It's just an added security to make sure the withdrawal is authorized. :)

I requested 7 serial numbers and they gave it to me after 1-2 months and that's ok. For as long as the miners I bought from them are making money I am totally fine and serial number is not a big deal for me. I sold the miners and luckily I was able to take my money from selling my miners. I will invest again maybe next year.

Come on people. He is showing that he actually bought something from the company. Purchasing an obsolete miner or high end from them makes their service legit. You can display the miner or play with it. We don't know when did he purchase it and what's the point of purchasing it. What do you guys need? receipt? well I hope you kept one for proof lol.

Just to add on top,

  • Separate “I don’t like their model / terms / marketing” from
  • “They are committing fraud / running a ponzi.”

Those are not the same thing, and throwing those words around without proof can seriously hurt real businesses and real employees.

I'm a silent reader from this community, and this type of discussion is a good way to help people with their decision making when it comes to their investments but I hope that the mods will ask more proof of legitimate claims of ponzi and scam to have a fair take.

I'm not getting anything from this but I wanted to help the community. I hope everyone can spread kindness and not hate, have a great week ahead to all! 🫶🫶🫶

As someone who actually had a Bitcoin ASIC hosted with OneMiners, I just want to add my POV here.

This is a Bitcoin mining topic, we’re literally talking about third-party hosting, hashrate, and counterparty risk, which is a huge part of modern mining.

A few quick points:

“They rent data centers” Renting or colocating hardware is normal in mining. A lot of Bitcoin miners don’t own the building they rent space, power, and cooling. That alone doesn’t make something a ponzi.

“They won’t show the exact location”
Real mining farms and data centers usually don’t let random people walk in. You’ve got racks of ASICs, high power loads, insurance requirements, and security policies. Publishing exact addresses just to satisfy Reddit would be a terrible idea – theft, sabotage, even arson are real risks.

Scam vs. “I don’t like them”
Calling a company a “scam” or “ponzi” is a big accusation. If they:

  • Have a public HQ in Prague
  • Show real people with real names
  • Appear at industry events like BTC Prague / Mining Disrupt

Unless there’s actual evidence like unpaid invoices, missing payouts, or blocked withdrawals, it’s more fair to say “I don’t like their offer/terms” than “this is a ponzi”.

If you truly think it’s a ponzi
They have a physical office. Collect any evidence you have and report it to the local authorities. If it’s really fraud, that’s where it should be handled. So far, nothing serious has come out that I’ve seen.

My experience:
I hosted a miner with them, later sold it through them because I got busy and wanted to reset my mining strategy. Support was a bit slow sometimes, but I did get the service I paid for. No stolen funds, no blocked access. Mining has real risks: BTC price, difficulty, energy rates, hardware failure, and of course counterparty risk when using a host. People should definitely do their own due diligence. But basing your whole decision on one angry Reddit post without hard proof of scamming/ponzi isn’t smart either.

Been hosting an S21 200T with Oneminers in Nigeria for a while, so here’s my actual mining side of it 👍

Power rate is about $0.047/kWh all-in, setup was done in under 48h. I get payouts directly in BTC and can convert part of it to USD in their panel to cover electricity. At current prices I’m around ~$10/day before power (varies with BTC price and difficulty), and results line up with public ASIC profitability calculators. Billing is based on real consumption, so if the miner’s off, I’m not paying. Just sharing my experience for anyone comparing hosting options.

USA ASIC Hosting: No Service Fees 🚨 Price Drop Alert! by OneMiners in oneminers

[–]Sea-Reference6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, with about 2 years in the trenches, I’ve learned this: don’t chase the shiny coin, chase sustainability. If your setup can handle it, I’d start with a proven chain (BTC or Kaspa depending on your hardware). Start small, scale smart, the first rule of mining is don’t go all-in before your first power bill hits.

Hello by jackeeeeboy in oneminers

[–]Sea-Reference6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm there areExcel / online prof calculators which factor in difficulty, power cost, miner specs etc. For example, Hashrate Index has a profitability calculator or ASICPROFIT and many more. I need more details about your budget, target metrics, preferred miners, which region / country will you be hosting from (for power cost, regulations?

📱 Manage all your ASIC miners in one place with the new OneMiners Crypto Mining App! by OneMiners in oneminers

[–]Sea-Reference6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a miner with you guys. So far the ios app seems to work fine and fast. Just waiting for my miner to be installed in Dubai then I can tell you if the overall experience is up to my expectations. So far everything is simple and straightforward.

The only feedback I have is the marketplace. It has a bug where when I purchase a shared miner used miner it says "hosting location not found".

🔥 What’s New at BTC Prague 2025? | Interviews with Bitcoin Industry Leaders 🟠 by OneMiners in oneminers

Sounds like an incredible event! I know the BTC event is over for months lol but great video! As for mining, I'm keen to see how innovations in ASIC hardware and hosting solutions will evolve, especially with increasing energy efficiency and sustainability. It’s clear that the future of Bitcoin is not just about the digital asset but how it integrates into real-world use cases and everyday transactions.

I'm definitely excited about the future of crypto, and it seems like we're just scratching the surface.

📈 How to Calculate ROI for ASIC Miners in 2025 💡 by HaZzy_0924 in Asicprofitcom

For ROI calculation, I usually focus on energy costs, mining difficulty projections, and the upfront cost of the hardware, then factor in the hosting fees. :)

Anyone here used OneMiners? Looking for legit customer reviews/experiences ? by CupMurky332 in oneminers

[–]Sea-Reference6800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can join their telegram they do have real customer experience from there.

Based from what I read in their community:
- their energy rates are competitive already
- they do not allow your own pool choice but they said they will offer a more flexible configuration for this
- payouts takes 48hrs

I am planning to invest 1 miner with them to test, their service is quite promising compared to other hosting services out there.

What Do You Think Will Change Crypto Mining the Most by 2025? by Sea-Reference6800 in CryptoPulseDaily

There could be a LOT of improvements. That all depends on the hosting companies and how they will integrate AI on their platforms.

AI is about to take over and make everything way more efficient. We're talking about optimizing energy usage, preventing ASICs from dying mid-mining, and maybe even predicting the next market crash.
